Chapter One

Your name is Rin Kagamine. You and your brother, Len, have just recently switched schools. You'd be perfectly okay with this, if it weren't for the fact that you switched mid-semester. Len is okay with it, saying he makes friends very easily. You however, do not.

It's most likely due to the fact that you're fucking terrible when it comes to social situations. So you tend to stick to internet friends, it's easier and you're not as anxious.

Your phone pings. Len's texted you.

hows your day going so far, shorty?

You roll your eyes. Len is like an INCH taller than you. Absolute bullcrap.

Well, I mean it's not the worst.

lmao made any friends yet?

Hmm, I don't know, Len. From the bitter loneliness radiating off of my texts, what do you think?

geez ok no need to be a grump. its only the first day

You don't bother answering, and check the time before slip your phone in your pocket. Your second class of the day is going to start in a few minutes, and you're on the other side of the campus. You should probably hurry your ass up.

You make your way through the sea of your peers in the hall as fast as you can, trying incredibly hard not to step on anyone's toes or slam into another student. You succeed.

You're running now. Running as fast as your little legs can take you. Your backpack is bouncing on your back, and your heart is beating out of your chest (mostly due to the exercise. Damn, you've never ran this fast before).

The one minute bell goes off. You're going to make it. You really don't want to be tardy on the first day. The techer would make what remains of your school year a living hell for sure.

The bell goes off again. You stop in your tracks. Shit.

Wait a minute. You just realised you have no idea where you're going.

You throw your backpack off of you and onto the ground, zipping it open to find your map of the camous grounds.

...Yeah.... you still don't know where your destination is. Shit. You're well aware of what this means.

You are going to have to ask someone for directions.

Unfortunately for you, no one is out in the hall, they're all in class, and you have no clue where the administration office is.

You hear a locker shut behind you. It startles you for a second, but you turn only to see a fellow student, half way across the hall from you. From a distance, you can see that she has long teal hair, tied up into pigtails with ribbons, and a shaul over her school uniform. Thank God, at least she's a fellow girl. If she were a dude it'd make it at least ten times harder for you to ask for help from her.

You call out to her from across the hall. "Excuse me!"

She turns to look at you, and tilts her head, confused.

You make your way towards her, and take a deep breath. Here we go.

"Uh, h-hi, sorry to bother you, but I...I'm new here, and I have no idea where my next class is?"
