Chapter One

Chapter One: Wait, what?

Kat's P.O.V
RING RING RING
Finally, the bell rang signaling school was over. I ran out of the class faster than a cheeta running after its prey, well almost as fast. I ran through the crowd of teenagers in the hallway and to my locker.

I grabbed my homework books and put them into my black backpack, before leaving the school through the back doors. I pulled my earphones and phone from my pocket and started blasting Five Seconds of Summer into my ears, which was funny considering there was a boy at my school named Ashton.

All of a sudden, I felt something jump on me. I started panicking and the guy jumped on me started punching me in the face. I whimpered in pain with my eyes closed shut. I opened one eye and it was Jack, Jack Tart, the teenager at my school who harasses me.

"P-please s-stop." I studdered. I couldn't breath and I started gasping for air, my throat felt as if it were closing. He continued to punch me and yell profanities into my ear. I started crying, my chest on fire for two reasons; one being I couldn't breath and because I was scared.

He continued punching me to where I was bleeding. Blood was pouring out of my mouth and nose. I could feel bruises on my stomach. I still couldn't breath and I was screaming by then.

"Help!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I couldn't get up and I actually thought I was going to die. Jack had his fists ready to punch me again, but nothing happened. I heard a deep voice screaming at the guy attacking me. Who was the boy saving me? I looked up and it was the schools bad boy; Ashton Vein. Wait, what?
