City behind the clouds

War

                            Chapter 1

"It was a bloody battle, death and loss was the only thing for miles, the war lasted very, very, long and humans full of hatred towards the animals.....until finally,
The animals, forgiving and merciful spared the humans after winning the war......

but the humans,  unforgiving and full of hatred refused to give up and fought the animals until they were overthrown, outnumbered and weak...

The animals loosing hope to compromise with the humans fled to a faraway land, the humans being victorious... but to this day, not a single human knows where we hide"

The elder finished her story of the war at last, and with a flick of her snake-like tail and a heavy cough from her throat we were dismissed.
All the little pups, kittens, cubs, and many others ran out of the small hut to play, their footsteps echoing on the floor.

It was a lazy day and we were looking for ways to waist time, and ended up being stuck here,

Jayden, Taina, Brandon, and I walked behind them and out the door, I looked over at them,

Jayden, she is my best friend, she's  every breed of dog we know , but shes mostly German Shepard and pomarainian, she is the tallest of all of us,
Taina, shes the smartest and easiest at making decisions, she is half dragon half human, having dragon wings, tail and claws she is taller than me and Brandon,
Brandon, he's the most fun to hang out with, he is half cat half fish, he can walk on water when ever he wants, and is only a little taller than me,
I...I am a half cat, bird and snake, I have cat ears and tail, white bird wings and a snake tongue, I am the shortest,
And I'm ok with that

We walked out of the small hut the story still lingering in my mind as we looked at the large village full of life surrounded by cliffs
There is a rule though about the many animals who are allowed to live here, only mammals that are able to climb up and down the steep cliffs were aloud to stay
There are many other small towns and villages around the area but ours was by far the largest

As I thought about the battle and where we hide behind the clouds, Taina spoke up and said " well I gotta get going my brother won't be happy if I'm late for dinner" it was currently noon and the sun was low in the air casting a shadow along the valley " Mk" I hummed in response as she flew away leaving only Brandon, Jayden and me

I'll be uploading more on this story than the other one " I took the chance" but you should go check that out too
Um my phones about to die so I guess this is it for this chapter, I might upload tomorrow too so I look forward to that
