The Alpha ( Alpha X Beta, BoyxBoy )

Chapter 1- Hunter's the name.

"What do you mean I need a Beta?!" I yell at Lucca my best friend. "What, you didn't know?..." Lucca says looking at me confused. "Does it look like I knew..." I said frustrated, how was I suppose to know that I needed a Beta in order to be a full alpha of the pack! "Hunter, Calm down..." Lucca says patting my shoulder. "I'm going to go talk to my dad about this." I said giving Lucca a hug and walking towards my fathers office which wasn't far from where me and Lucca were just talking at.

My name is Hunter Cloud, I live on a mountain called Mount Lhotse. Mount Lhotse is about 1.8 Miles away from mount Everest.  Now you may wonder how does a human live in such a cold place? The answer is I am actually a wolf, Yes I can shift into a wolf. But back to the mountain because its still to cold for a wolf to live on such a mountain. Well when my ancestors first moved to Mount Lhotse they made the houses out of almost a cobble stone look but they put furnaces and heaters inside the houses and the heat bounces off of the wall making the houses a very warm place. But our pack house is quiet different, The big pack house where the Alpha and their family lives is build with wood but we have heaters in the house that keeps everyone warm. 

But other then talking about this let me tell you more about me, I am suppose to be the next alpha being that i'm the oldest son of my parents. I am 6'4 and have dark brown hair my eyes are a Light green. I have two younger brothers who are twins and are the age of 4 right now. The oldest twin brother is Tobias well Toby for short the youngest is Grayson or just Gray. 

I turned down the last hall and I finally got to my fathers office I knocked on the door waiting for the signal from my father to come in. "Come in" I heard him say I opened the door and looked at the desk where my father sat. "Oh, Hunter whats wrong?" He asks putting his elbows on the desk and resting his chin on his hands in front of him. "Lucca was just telling me of something called an Beta..." I said giving my father a Confused face. He sighed before standing up. "Come with me Hunter." He says opening his office door before walking out me following close behind.

"So where are we going?" I ask still following behind my father. "If you stop asking maybe I'll tell you." he says still walking. "That makes no sense But okay." I said looking around as we walked. We took a left and ended up in a room I've never seen before. "Hunter in here...in all these books they will tell you everything you will need to know in order to be the best alpha you can be." He says before walking to a bookshelf in the back of the room and grabbing a black old looking book and walking to me handing it to me. "This book will tell you everything you need to know on a beta." My father says before walking to the door we came through and pausing. "You can come in here whenever, good luck Hunter" he says before walking down the hall and disappearing. "What the actual moon goddess..." I say before opening the black old book that was given to me and reading it.
' The term Beta refers to a position in the hierarchy of a wolf pack. The dominate, or alpha position, being the at the top and the most subordinate, or omega position, being on the bottom. The Beta position is immediately below the alpha in the rankings. ' I read this out loud thinking out loud to myself in the process.
"So a beta is basically like the one that is in second command?, huh...odd didn't know that..." I said before flipping to the next page.
' In the past, the prevailing view on gray wolf packs was that they consisted of individuals vying with each other for dominance, with dominant gray wolves being referred to as the "alpha" male and female, and the subordinates as "omega" and "beta" wolves. '

I was soaking up so much information that I started to get a headache so I walked out of the room book in hand and began back to my room. On my way I passed by my fathers office hearing him on the phone I listened in a bit. "I see! That's wonderful Logan!" he took a moment before talking again. "Yes, I am excited to await your approval of moving here" he said I could hear his excitement in his voice so much it made me wonder who exactly this Logan guy was. I knocked on the door softly. "One second please" I heard him say aloud. "I'm glad to hear this Logan thank you again, I will see you soon" my father ended his conversation and told me to come in I walked in smiling.
"Who was that?" I asked my father looked at me strangely before answering.
"A friend of mine he and his son moved out of their home recently and need a place to stay and I volunteered him to stay here. He called not long ago and asked of me a couple questions before he decided where he wanted to go." he says giving me a small smile.
"Huh..." I said before taking one of the many seats in his office.
"Don't you have something to do Hunter?" he asks me confused.
"What do you mean I've been sitting in the room you left me in soaking up millions of words and now I have a headache" I said taking two fingers and running them across my temple to try to rid the pain coming from my head.
"What did you learn?" he asks I looked at him before telling him everything I learned from the one book to the different types of wolves to their jobs to the wolves past and even a bit about the old Alpha's of our pack. Who knew that only the Clouds served as Alpha's no other family besides mine were Alpha's. "I see so you did do some research..." He said standing up and moving to the door.

"Where you going?" I asked standing up and facing him. "Your mother said she had dinner made for us and to start heading towards the dinning room." He said walking out of the room and once again I followed him through the halls and corridors of our extreme home. "So...Who should I ask to be my Beta?" I asked him he stopped and turned around and looked at me. "How about....Mitchell?" He says, Who the hell is Mitchell?! "Dad..." I said looking at him. He looked rather confused then it hit him. "Oh!, Its Logan's son" He says. "Why should I pick him?" I asked Walking in front of my dad and walking ahead a moment later I heard footsteps behind me following along. "I heard he's a White wolf..." My father says. "What?!" I flew around glaring at my father there is no way that some kid is a white wolf! White wolf's are a rare kind of wolves they are known to be strong wolves and are huge when in wolf form. "I won't know it's true till I see the boy." My father says pushing past me and walking again. "I'll see..." I said walking after my father. "So you might want him as your beta?" My father asks while walking into our huge dinning room seeing both my mother and my two younger siblings gray and Toby. I sat down and began to eat. I have to admit our cooks make great pork stew.

After eating my food the family were still eating. "Wow, Hunter you must have been hungry" My mother says in a soft voice looking at me and smiling then looking back at gray when he started laughing at something. I looked at him noticing that he was laughing at the door I looked at the door and saw a small crack in the door. I looked back at my father who was chuckling a bit. I then looked at my mother who had the same confused face as me. I looked at my father once again before he said something. "What are you doing here?" He says as someone walking into the room I watched the man walk in wearing a rather royal outfit. He doesn't belong to this pack and he smells nothing like our pack...Who is he? Then I knew... "Logan, I thought you were not coming till Saturday!" My father said getting up and hugging the older man who had long gray hair. "I wasn't suppose to even get here till Friday but our car got here just a bit faster than expected!" The man said hugging my father back.

I looked at my mother and saw her smile and stand up. Logan stopped hugging my father and turned to give my mother a loving hug. "How are you Julie?" Logan asked my mother she smiled at him and replied. "I'm doing wonderful Logan, Thank you" She said letting go of the hug she was giving him and he looked down at my little brothers putting one of his hands on both of Gray's and Toby's heads. giving them a smile and a 'How are you little chipmunks?' I just watched as this guy that I have never met was getting along wonderfully with my family as I sat there emotionless. He takes a look at me and smiles. "Hunter, It's been a while can't believe how much you have grown . I have also heard that you have became Alpha of the pack. How is that going for you?" He asks awaiting for my answer.

I smiled "Indeed I have become Alpha, and its been a joy to be able to care for so many wonderful pack members." I answered smiling at him.
