I slam the door as I leave my house for school. Uniform crumpled, toast hanging from my mouth. "Shit," I moan. It's 8:46am; I have exactly 14 minutes to walk/hobble to school, get my previous night's homework done, go to my locker to get my school books and actually go to class.
I walk as fast as I can to school without looking like some psychopathic old woman. People keep staring at me, so I must look at least slightly psychopathic. When I eventually get to school, I notice that the gates are locked.
"Hello?" I shout to see if anybody is there. Nobody answers.
"Why is there nobody here? What if everybody is already in class? I'm going to be in so much trouble." I start to get panicky, it's not soon until I'm hyperventilating.
"Oh no," I think ,"Not now." I try to focus on my breathing and I start taking deep breaths. I start to calm down and I grab my phone from my pocket to call my mom.
That's when I glimpse at my phone and realise;
It's Saturday.
