Lost In Love

The beginning

Well. I guess you've found me. I'm Ruby. An ordinary 16 year old girl. I don't do anything special, I just go to school, do homework, and hang out with friends. Oh, and write. But I think you already figured that out. You may be wondering why you are here. Well you are going to go on a journey that consists of me telling you about my life. Boring, I know. But trust me it gets better.

It all started at homecoming. It was a new school year and I had just transferred from a high school in New York all the way to Cali. My dad had gotten a promotion and was transferred to a bigger facility in LA. I wasn't excited for the move. I mean who would? I was leaving all of my friends and definitely didn't want to make new ones. I figured I would keep in touch with the ones I had in New York but I knew it wouldn't last long. In New York I had an internship. For a big newspaper that was well known. I thought it would be a good way to get my writing career started. But I didn't want to start small. I had to leave the internship to go to California and I was not happy about it. As soon as I got to cali I knew things would be rough. Too much sun. I'm a home body. I don't like to be out in the sun. I burn very easily and the sun definitely doesn't help. Even with sunscreen. When I moved I moved in close to the school. That means that I have to walk. Yay, sun. It had been a few weeks since school started and it was time for homecoming. My parents made me go because they wanted me to " make some friends". Great. I had gotten my dress and was all ready for the big day. I walked up to the doors and could already hear the loud music and could smell sweaty teens. Gross. I walked in and automatically regretted this. I didn't know anyone there and frankly. I didn't want to. I figured the least I could do was get some punch. I walked over to the punch bowl and grabbed a cup and got something to drink. As soon as I turned around to walk to a table I bumped into someone. That was the day I met him.
