"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" Hiro argued.
"Well, by the look of your body position, you seem bored which means you have too much energy that you don't know what to do with." She explained.
"So what do you suggest we do?" He asked her, getting up from his bed and following her down the stairs once more, walking down to the café.
"Let's go exploring!" She whispered, weaving in and out through the other café customers, cautious not to get Tadashi and Aunt Cass's attention.
"Are you crazy!? We will get in trouble!" Hiro whispered in fear.
"Since when are you the protective one!?" She smirked, placing her hands on her hips knowing well that she had won. Hiro rolled his eyes.
"It's not that, I just don't want to get grounded from the robotics convention tomorrow... I've waited for 4 years and the next one isn't until I'm 9!"Hiro pointed out.
"Okay but there is still the convention when you turn 13 and another one when you are 17!" She reasoned.
"True but by then I'll be too old for it, building my very own robots and taking over Tadashi's school!" Hiro laughed to himself at the thought. (Y/n) rolled her eyes, sick of listening to the little Hamada's excuses. She grabbed his hand tightly and pulled him through the crowd, pushing open the light glass door and exiting.
"Let's go to our secret place if you don't want to go exploring then." She suggested, instantly catching Hiro's attention. The two giggled as they made their way to the old park across the street and walked through the bushes. They kept walking until they past a twisty tree landmark that contained a large stone house behind.
The stone slabs created a simple yet cosy cube like house where the two children climbed inside, the memory of building the small house was still fresh in the children's mind.
It was a nice day for going out. Tadashi had brought the two to the park for a while, thinking they needed fresh air for once instead of being cooped up inside. At first (Y/n) and Hiro refused, believing that their robot which would take over Tadashi's school was more important.
But all in all, they went to the park. But, being 3 and 4 year olds, the two best friends instantly became a challenge for poor Tadashi who was running left, right and center just to make sure they were safe. You could say Tadashi learnt his lesson for taking the two outside. (Y/n) and Hiro were just enjoying themselves, and you could say purposefully worrying the older Hamada.
The fun had ended as quickly as it started however when Hiro decided to play a game of hide and seek. The only problem with that was that (Y/n) and Tadashi soon lost him. It was quite some time but eventually, (Y/n) found him hiding behind slabs of rock that had been disposed from an old construction site, talk about safety.
With the help from Tadashi, they had moved the slabs away to let the little Hamada out, creating a pile of rock slabs in the process. After a bit of scolding from Tadashi, they reused the slabs to make a cubby house to play in, keeping it their secret from that day forth.
(Y/n) and Hiro arrived at their secret place, giggling at the fact that they had snuck out. Sure they would get in trouble but they would cross that bridge when they got there.
"It's a lot larger now that Tadashi isn't here." Hiro pointed out, looking around the brightly lit cubby. Over the years the three of them had brought objects over to their little hideout, most of these objects were toys and a small lamp.
The cubby was more of a cave with one of its walls being made out of stone completely, leaning against a giant boulder. No one had ever come upon the area, it was well hidden with bushes and trees.
