I stood there in my own eggshell. I was surrounded by people who didn't notice me.
Then they all vanished.
They became little specks of dusk. They laughed at me and mocked me for who I was. I regretted it. I regretted coming here.
I put my hands out for me to grab on to some friends. My three friends smiled at me in my right hand while my other two frowned in my left. My left hand-specks disappeared, as my right ones for brighter. They lit up like fireflies.
That's when they started burning.
They burned through my right hand as my left hand vanished with my other two specks.
Desperately, I put my arms out for help.
No one was there.
I was alone. Scared. Frightened. Confused.
That's when my shell cracked. I was swallowed into an empty pit of darkness, where no dream was visible, but was... Sleep.
Everything ran through my mind. My friends. My new friends. My choices. Their choices. Their words. My words.
It was almost as if they never had existed.
That's when I realized that I had ceased to exist.
