They replayed many events that had happened. They chose the best memories they shared with Tohru and soon after she started to remember some things and that was a great improvement.

"Soma-san...?" Tohru called out to Yuki. "Where are we headed?" It was getting pretty dark and they were deep in the woods. Tohru easily got scared that it made it quite difficult to remain calm.

"My secret base." He smiled and led her down a a narrow path. Yuki went down first and extended a hand out to help her down. She grinned and as she reached for it, she slipped on her back. "HONDA-SAN??" Yuki ran down the muddy slope that she happened to slip down towards.

"I... I'm alright." as she pushed herself up from her back, a wave of pain struck her head. She put pressure on it with her free hand and then she heard a voice... a woman's voice.

"Let's make a deal... If you fall off this cliff...and you survive, then I'll-"

"Honda-san? Are you sure you're alright? Did you hurt your head anywhere?"

"..." Tohru looked up and her face paled in the darkness. Yuki was silent too from her response. Her expression was so very sad. Like the day she lost her mother. "mhm..." She pursed her lips as she stood up again. Mud covered her body from head to toe, but Tohru could hardly care less about that. What she just heard... could be none other than the last person she last talked too before the whole accident.

Akito.

"Honda-san... let's go back to get you cleaned up." Yuki whispered and took her hand then. They exchanged no words as they headed back home, not even bothering to stop at their secret base.

"WHAT HAPPENED TOHRU?" Shigure ran up to them at the entrance of the house. Tohru looked down once and a second later she faked a smile.

"I slipped." Then, without a single response from Shigure, she went upstairs to her room.

"Tohru... she-"

"I don't know what happened. She must have hit her head or something because she had the oddest expression. I've never seen anything like it."

"Did she make a sexy expression?" Shigure wiggled his brows. Yuki didn't insult him because he was very serious.

"She was very sad. Like me..." He was surprised at his own words that came out. Never had he ever admitted that he was 'sad', well other than telling Machi.

"Tohru... Something must have happened when she slipped." Shigure's tone went an octave higher out of concern for Tohru. "We have to bring back her memories soon... or else, it'll be like we never existed-"

"I'm home." Kyo's voice interrupted their conversation.

"Who cares." Yuki rolled his eyes and earned a glare from Kyo.

"I'm just saying so you can go running with your tail between your legs." Kyo was a bit surprised that Yuki didn't come with a comeback and instead ignored it completely.

"Why are you guys gathering in the hall?" He dropped his bag on the floor, causing it to make a 'thump' sound. "Did something happen with Tohru?"

"She may have recalled a memory, Kyo. But she..." Shigure looked down and his lips formed a straight line.

"Is she okay?" Now he was becoming concerned. What happened to Tohru while he was away? He only went to talk to Hatori about Tohru's situation. He was only gone for an hour or so... "Tohru!!" he called from above and ran up to her room before Shigure could say any more.

"Why won't anyone let me finish?" He sighed sat down to drink some tea, "Maybe, I'm just getting old."

Kyo burst through the door and could not find her in sight. The window was wide open and the wind blew really hard, sending the curtains flying by the sides of the wall. "Tohru?" He bent down to his knees, breathing heavy. "Tohru?" He looked around, nothing...

"...What's wrong? Is Honda-san gone?" Yuki called from the bottom of the stairs. Kyo did not answer and soon Yuki ran up next to him too. Together, in silence, they searched her room. "She went up just a minute ago! She couldn't have gone far..." Yuki took the stairs while Kyo went through the window and he jumped down at the same time Yuki came down. All night, they searched the small campus of the Sohma estate and could not find Tohru.

"None of my friends can smell her..." Shigure's heart dropped when Yuki asked him.

"Where... could she have gone?" Yuki fell on his knees, exhausted.

"I'll contact the main house. Akito-" Shigure was once again interrupted by Kyo.

"As if Akito would do something about it. Akito couldn't care less about Tohru. I bet that he wanted this all along!" Kyo broke the dining table in half and left it to crumble in pieces, by going to his room, he wanted to be left completely alone.

"If he wanted this to happen. He would have done it long ago." Shigure snapped.

"This isn't the time to argue. Just call the main house and ask for help. I'm sure everyone's going to go on a search party."

Meanwhile, Kyo was lying in his bed, sulking and angry at the same time. The room seemed too dark and silent without her. Her room was next door so he could always hear her footsteps and her early morning yawns. Then, whenever she sneezed, she'd always say, 'excuse me'. "...Tohru..." Kyo pressed his pillow over his head and felt his heart squeeze in pain. If she were here now... he'd hug her.

Who cared if he would just transform? He wanted to embrace her and kiss her all he wanted...

But he was born the cat.

"I've always wanted to be year of the cat!"

Ah... that's right. She didn't care if he was born the cat. If anything... she thought it was a blessing.

That's what made her a blessing.

A gift from God himself.

Tears fell down the sides of his face as he squeezed the pillow. Where had she gone? Why did she go? All he knew was that he was too late...

Too late to tell her his real feelings.
