The child looked down, they no longer had tears to shed but their eyes held great sadness and grief.
"It will all end here, where nobody dares set foot, no one will bother to look anyway"
They chuckled, how they managed to laugh at a time like such baffled them, yet they still held a smile, they looked down making sure no one was down below them, it was roughly a 40 feat high drop but they could still see the dimly lit bottom. They looked around, no one there, then they jumped.
As they fell they flipped to their back, time seemed to slow, their senses sharpened, they could hear the wind rustle the trees, the birds singing, they smelled all the different scents and marbled at how they changed as they fell. Their side hit a jagged wall, tearing their grey shirt and pale stomach, they gasped in pain, blood danced around them in the air, leaking from their open wound, they began to fall headfirst...
