*ALANA'S POV*

"She's just perfect you know, perfect smile, perfect personality" said to me my best friend Calum talking about my other best friend which is now, his crush.

I sighed "i just don't think she's your type you know and she is Michael's girlfriend, but you like her so i'm not gonna ruin it for you" you see, Calum and i have been best friends since we were 7 we met in primary school and that's where it started, and that's also when i started liking him. But he doesn't know that.

So yeah it did hurt hearing him talk about another girl he likes, but i got used to it "i know she's with Michael but that's where you come in. I want you to help me break them up" he told me i raised an eyebrow "no no no nope i'm not doing it" "please please please Lana please just do it for me" "Calum no, i can't do it, I can't just ruin my best friend's relationship i just can't do it" "fine don't, I wish i never helped you get Noah" he snapped at me.

"Oh come on Calum don't do this, that was last year and besides we broke up" i told him, right now i was pissed that he would even ask me something like this "you're right i'm sorry, i know she's your best friend, i just like her" he apologized.

"Can we just forget this and not talk about her 24/7." why did i say that dammit i'm so stupid "what do you mean?" he asked "oh.. um... nothing... I just think-" i stopped myself before i said anything more stupid. " Calum let's just forget this conversation and go get some coffee or something?" i said trying to change the subject "fine let's go get coffee" he said. I slightly smiled and we went out.

I went to school late the next day, not the first time it happens, but yeah. My day was boring until between English and biology class.

I saw Luke come up to me "Hey Alana" Luke greeted me with a smile "heyyy Luke, i think we're close enough so you can call me Lana for short because it's kind of cooler" "how come you're not cool?" he said, i giggled "what are you talking about i am cool?" i replied back "well was thinking that maybe.. we could go out some time...?" he asked, i smiled "of course" i replied "okay Friday, i'll pick you up at 7" he informed me "sounds perfect" i said.

LUKE JUST ASKED ME OUT WHAT. Okay i gotta tell Calum so i went up to him seeing him by his locker "CAL CAL CAL CAL CAL CAL" i yelled " what what what" he answered "guess what just happened" "you.. ate a sandwich?" he asked " no dumbass, Luke just asked out on a date" i said excited "Luke Hemmings?" he asked "yes duh Luke Hemmings and you know i told you i kinda liked him right?" i told him "uh.. yeah i remember.. well congrats..." he sounded disappointed "what's wrong?" i asked him "nothing, nothing just thinking about the biology exam" he said "you'll be fine, good luck".

It's Friday and it's currently 6:50pm, I heard the bell ring as i was putting on my shoes "I'LL GET IT" i yelled loud enough for my mom to hear. And yeah i live alone with my mom, i never met my father, well i did but i don't remember him since he left us when i was only 1 year old.

I ran downstairs to open the door but i found that my mom already did "Hey, Lana" Luke said i smiled "hey" i replied "have fun you two" said my mom "bye mom" i said as i closed the door. "this is the first time i meet your mom, you don't talk about her much" Luke said "there's not much to talk about her" i told him as he opened the door to the car for me "who knew Luke Hemmings was such a gentlemen?" i said "oh nah i just didn't want your dirty hands on the car handle" he said and smiled "using sarcasm Mr. Hemmings, i see" i giggled as i got in the car "that was sarcasm?" he smiled again "so where are we going Sarcasm Hemmings?"

"Sarcasm Hemmings?" he asked

"yes, now answer Sarcasm Hemmings" i replied "fine we're going to the lake" he said "great, that's a great addition to how i'm gonna murder you, thank you" he shakes his head laughing.

Once we got there, there was a table set up with candles and plates on it, i smiled and looked at him "I would've been fine with just McDonald's" he smile at me "but you're much more worth than just McDonald's" he told me looking into my eyes, i felt my cheeks turning bright red so i slightly looked down. He was still smiling at me "C'mon" he said as he held my hand and slowly dragged me to the table. I sat down and he sat across from me.

We ate, shared laughs, it was going perfectly and it couldn't have been better. "Thank you so much Luke" i told him "I've wanted to do this for a long time and I finally got the guts to ask you out on a date" He smiled with his dimples popping out which actually made my heart melt inside like a fangirl seeing her idol breathing. "I have one more thing for you" he said "hmmm what is it?" "you'll have to see for yourself" he had a very mysterious smile on his face which made me even more curious "is this a plot twist were instead of me killing you it's actually you killing me?" i told him "maybeeeeee" "Damn it, not again" i smiled as i got up to follow him. I was surprised when we got to his car "what are you gonna show me?" I asked curious "it's 8pm" "and...?" "You'll see" he said as he opened the trunk to his car, he took out 2 blankets and set them on top of his car.

He somehow did a turtle ninja move and got on top of the the car. I looked at him confused "i've learned a few moves" he said realizing the look of confusion on my face "Really?" I asked to make sure "no" he chuckled "here let me help you" he told me, he put his hand down for me to hold it, so i held his hand and somehow got on top of the car. Once i was on his vehicle, he put his jacket on my shoulders, very cliché, i know. But i smiled anyways "look" he pointed at the sky, i looked up and saw the beautiful pink and orange sky, i smiled, admiring the sky

*LUKE'S P.O.V*

So far, my plan is working perfectly in a couple of days i can ask her out and be able to talk to Lydia on a daily basis.
