Entry 1

I guess I should introduce myself, my name is Johnny Tamashi. I'm only 20 and I already know what it's like to be the outcast of an entire town. There is one major difference between me and them, family. My parents and older sister died in a car crash when I was 9 years old and no one in town wanted me around because of my red eyes. I live on the outskirts of a small town on the border of a large forest that my family has taken care of for generations.
I was getting some much needed food when I found a small child in an alleyway shivering in the snow. I couldn't stand seeing them like that as it reminded me of how I was left to fend for myself so I offered them my hand to come with me to escape the freezing snow.. The child seemed scared at first but took my hand and smiled at me, something I haven't gotten from anyone in a long time.
This child has been abandoned by her cruel parents to die in the cold snow. She called herself "Maria" and did chores that I didn't ask her to do. When she broke a glass, Maria seemed to cower in fear of being hit or yelled at, but I told her it was alright and that accidents happen.
