Trapped.

Chapter 1: " Invitation and a dinner party "

-"Are you coming for dinner sweetie ?, well you should because Carmella and I are making this new Thailand chicken recipe that we got from the computer thingy , it's very interesting and it has all these spices and veggies , I bet it'll be very tasty , I'm also making your favorite dessert , mini-lava cakes with powdered sugar on top , so you have to come , will you sweetie-pie ? "
-"Mom , I'm very busy lately , I don't know if I'll make it , plus , my car broke down and I need to go see Antonio to get it fixed , so I'll let this one pass ."
-"No way miss Claudia DEKARD, you have to come , uncle Jack and his wife will visit , you know , with their handsome little man , Adam , and maybe you'll be able to chat a little and stuff , huh love bug haha "
-"Ugh mom are we still doing this , I don't want a man, reserve him for Carmella if she gets divorced or something, anyways, I have to hang up bye-bye"
'Finally', says Claudia while releasing a heavy breath , 'I can never keep up with mother ..'
That is Claudia DEKARD, a 20 years old girl , living in Los Angeles in a medium sized apartment with her roommate Maya.
Claudia is this very pretty but lonely girl , she doesn't believe in relationships nor in love , she assures that a woman can live better alone , depending on no one but herself.
She studies Economics even though it's not her thing , she prefers Psychology and reading and studying all what has something to do with it ,everyday , she goes to the library holding many heavy books to return them and bring back home some others.
She just moved out from her parents' house , she couldn't handle living with two people , plus her pregnant sister and her whining husband who works in her dad's big shoe company , even though the DEKARD family is very rich , they just are missing out on the communication and comprehension between the family members , and Claud doesn't stand that , she hates their priorities; get money , look good , and brag about it .
After 30 messages and missed calls from her mom , she finally decides to assist the dinner party , her mom calls , she answers: -"wassup mah ?"
-"Language sweetie , don't be thinking that this is the appropriate way of talking"
Claud nodded -"Ugh fine "
-"You're coming to the dinner party , right ?"
-"Do I have a choice ?" She responds sarcastically.
-"Oh stop it , you'll enjoy it I'm sure of that"
Claudia throws a HMM sound .
-"well just make sure you're wearing a dress , no jeans DodiClaud"
-"How many time am I supposed to ask you to stop naming me that mother"
The mom laughs then they hang up.
It's 8 o'clock and Claudia is heading to her home, but before that , she checks her laptop , and goes to her blog .
"NEW INVITATION" "NEW MESSAGE"
-"I bet it's the weird guy from Wendy's lol"
She clicks on the invitation and it's anonymous, she meh-s then accepts without any waiting , then she grabs her keys and leaves the apartment.
-"Oh what a lovely surprise , never thought you'd come sista", says Carmella with a wide laugh with a failed and weird thug hand motion.
-"Yea, me neither, but you know our mom, can we disagree ? Oh and stop trying to be cool dumb head, and watch for that alien inside your globe full of peanut butter and jelly textured fluid" She puts her finger in her mouth and makes a barf sound.
-"Give me a break, oh by the way, Adam is here, oh shit-sugar-salt lord and behold he looked as hot as my pressed lady bits"
-"Fuck off you psycho, is there any beer or Whiskey?, I need to get high before my mom comes and start her speeches like every time, anyways, I'm off take care sis' " Then she heads to the buffet.
*Interesting choices huh, I might just start stuffing them under this dress and make it useful ... Oh shit mom's coming, okey behave like a hypocrite Claud ,be as superficial as Kim K hahahaha good one good one*
-"Oh you made it DodiClaud, was there any traffic?"
-"No mom I took the metro, and and , hear this, I sneaked into and out of it, haven't paid a cent, guess who's buying a Cup Noodles tonight "
The mom clears her throat and smiles a little ,she looks embarrassed.
-"Oh you're so funny sweetie , always coming up with new jokes hahaha" She raises her eyebrow and rolls her eyes to show her who's beside her, they're Jack and his family.
-" My nicest and biggest salutations miss Claudia, remember me ? The good old JackJack" reclaims the uncle while caressing his big belly and holding his patterned pipe.
-"OH, the bald weirdo" says Claud while laughing.
Her mom quickly pinches her and Claudia puts back her serious face , uncle Jack seems annoyed , he looks at his wife Dayana while checking his hair, or what's left of it.
-"Oh I meant nice to meet you and your lovely family, you've grown so nicely Dayana I might be jealous" *Hell no, your nose looks like an Iphone 4 charger, not a good look*
The mom jumped to the talk and mentions Adam -"Claudia meet this gorgeous young man Adam, you two haven't met in a long time, since 2006 or 2007 I can't remember for a reason .." The mom talks very fast, she holds the parents to keep the two alone. -"Well honeys we're leaving, continue talking while I show you , and by that I mean you Jack and Dayana the minister that I have been talking to you about, the one with the bright red car in Olive Garden" She calls the minister then they leave .
-" My mom and dad talked about your beauty and kindness but I have to say, that you bet my expectations " says Adam with an attractive smile on.
-"Haha .. Uh.. thank you? .." Claudia keeps stuttering.
"Look dude let's cut this talk short, i am no interesté amigo, and yes, I know this is not proper Spanish but you get the point" She confronted him with locked eyebrows.
-" Well you haven't tried me, have you" Adam keeps trying to flirt.
-"Try the maid, she has big tits and rent to pay, help her with that."
Claudia grabs her beer and chugs it then wipe her mouth with her hands.
She goes to her mom to say goodbye, she is leaving.
-"It's getting late, I have to go mother"
-"Already ?! Well how did it go with Adam , he likes you right ?"
-"He looks like a Ken and I'm not a Barbie, bye mommy say hi to dad"
She precipitated to the door and leaves.
