Jamie really loved ice rinks; the smell of fresh cut ice and all the energy that buzzed around during games. And today was no exception.

Somehow Tyler had managed to convince Jamie to come to watch the canada women's team play today. Tyler had insisted that Candace had a friend on the team and that's why they were all there, but Jamie was pretty sure that Tyler just wanted to watch chicks play hockey.

"Alright Chubbs, I've got dibs on blondie, number 7," Tyler stated, plopping down in the arena chair on Jamie's left. He rolled his eyes at Tyler's infamous antics, turning towards the play.
"I also call that one," Tyler said through a mouthful of popcorn (Jamie's) as he pointed at a defenseman that had just left from the defensive zone.
"Would you just chill," Jamie groaned, flicking Tyler's SnapBack off his head. Tyler did the same to him, grinning like the idiot he was.

Jamie adjusted his Dallas hat as people started to rise out of their seats with anticipation. He also stood up to see a Canadian player rushing down the ice with the puck as fast as she could. She had a strong skating stride, Jamie thought, and her hair looked pretty cool in the messy bun she had underneath her helmet. He couldn't make out her last name (since their seats were so far away), yet he could clearly see the white 97 on the back of her jersey.

Nearing the goalie, the girl faked going left and tucked it in short side, the lamp above glowing a furious red. The crowd went wild, and the girl hugged each of her teammates a huge smile on her face that was enlarged on the jumbo tron.
"Hey, uh, who's number 97?" Jamie leaned over to ask Tyler, who only responded with a mischievous grin and a "get it Jamie."

He rolled his eyes and watched the jumbo tron as the announcers voice yelled the usual:
"Canada goal scored by captain and #97, Sam Isenate," the announcement rang throughout the rink as her roster picture popped up on the screen. Her black hair was straightened and sleek in the picture, and her freckles only drew more attention to her green eyes. "Also her 62nd goal of the season," the man finished, the audience erupting into cheers yet again.

Damn, this girl is better than me, Jamie thought, reaching into his sweatpants pocket for his phone.

Canada ended up winning, taking it home with a score of 4-1; courtesy of Sam who tallied two goals. Jamie was infatuated.
"Hey, Candace said we can go down to the locker room since she's friends with a few girls," Tyler said glancing at his phone as the two rose from their seats. So Tyler wasn't totally lying..

Jamie wasn't quite sure why he felt so anxious all of a sudden, and over something so stupid he thought. Tyler flashed the security guard outside a smile before pushing open the doors to the locker room, revealing about 20 or so stunned girls.

Tyler immediately spotted Candace and rushed over to her, asking about girls, leaving Jamie standing in the center of the room by himself like an idiot. He felt so awkward and wasn't sure what to do with himself.

"Jamie Benn?" He turned around, almost falling on his ass at the sight of Sam.
"Uh yeah, hi," he said shaking her hand softly. She still had the bottom half of her gear on, and he was doing his best to not look at her top half which consisted of a light blue nike sports bra that made her chest look .. Jamie tore his gaze away to smile at her as she did as well.

"Did you see the game?" She asked crossing her arms and staring at the tattoos that were exposed from his t-shirt. Sam was biting on her lower lip lightly while trailing her gaze up to Jamie's broad shoulders.
"Yeah, pretty impressive stuff," he smiled, still in awe of her beauty.
"Hm?" She said smirking, as Jamie knew she wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying.
"Yeah, I saw your goals, pretty sick," he smiled, amused with the fact that she had been checking him out. Well, he wasn't entirely innocent either.
"Oh, thank you," she smiled at him.

Oh shit what do I say, Jamie thought as he stared at the (hot) girl in front of him.
Okay, okay, what would Tyler do in this situation, He decided to take his friend's approach, because Tyler was a pro at this womanizer stuff.

"Are you doing anything after the game?" He smirked, hoping he looked like he'd be a fun time to chill with.
"Not that I know of, why?" Sam questioned, grabbing a towel. In all honesty she was freaking out about the fact that Jamie Benn was at her game and he was talking to her.
"Dinner?" he asked, still smiling at her and Sam couldn't help but notice that blush that sat on his cheeks.
"Of course," she grinned, sitting down in her stall and starting to untie her skates to contain her slight freak out over the fact that an NHL player had basically asked her on a date.

Sam immediately started worrying that they were going out to eat and she had nothing to change into besides her black sweatpants and team canada shirt. Way to make a first impression, she thought even remembering the fact that she met him in a sports bra that she still had on. Newly self conscious, she tugged on her shirt and pulled a SnapBack over her messy bun that she had kept in from the game.

Damn, Jamie thought, tearing his gaze away from Sam. He had sat in the stall next to her and was thoroughly enjoying the view of her boobs until she put on a shirt.
"Where are we eating?" She asked looking up at him after unwinding the clear tape off of her socks. Sam really hoped it wasn't a nice place because her Jamie both had on sweatpants and hockey shirts.
"Oh, uh," Jamie hadn't really thought about where they'd be eating, more about asking her to dinner.
"Want to get Chinese or something and take it back to my place?" He suggested, unsure of an actual restaurant to order from.

Sam shot him a look out of the corner of her eyes at the mention of 'my place' as she pulled sweatpants overtop of her Nike shorts.
"I do have standards, even if you're Jamie Benn," she said sternly, "I'm not some girl you can fuck and get rid of."
Jamie was genuinely shocked. Did he look like Tyler today?
"Oh Jesus no, I mean you're hot but, uh I just, just wanted to ask you to go out with me not that," Jamie rambled awkwardly feeling his face get hot with each word.

Aw, Sam thought, he seemed decently nice and cute. Jamie was pretty sure Tyler had already left with Candace, the cluster of girls had dispersed which meant that Tyler was most likely gone. He really wanted Sam to hurry up because he felt out of place and started to notice a number of other people that had been staring and whispering at him.
"Ready to go?" Sam asked, standing up with her bag and and pulling Jamie away from his thoughts.

"Of course," he smiled, grabbing her hand as they slipped out the door into the evening air.
