One day we will meet.
You will fly from afar to California to feel the sand beneath your feet.
We will build sandcastles tall and true,
As long as your with me I'm with you.
We met this year and I'm glad we did,
Because we are really good friends.
One day we will put together a road trip and travel everywhere,
Go from one destination to another until we end up back home without a wonder.
Without a wonder that we missed a town or city,
Or a memory that hasn't been made that isn't witty.
This friendship will never fade.
Our imagination taking over us as we walk along the beach.
You brought your car from the East.
You fixed it up all by yourself at age 17 in the summer heat.
We laugh and smile and listen to the radio,
As I sit in the passenger seat.
Even though we live miles away,
I feel like I have known you for quite some days.
One day we will meet.
