Chapter 1: My first invitation to a party

Amber's P. O. V.

I woke up and saw that Ashley was calling me(my best friend) about going to a party tonight. I'm not really a party type girl, I'm more shy then talkative but maybe this party can help me get out of my shell, I haven't been to a party before... I'm not very popular so I've never really gotten invited to one.

"Ash, you know Im not the party type of girl and plus I'm SUPER shy.. " I say "Pleaseeee go for me, and if you don't like the party you don't have to go to one ever again if you really don't want to" she said wining. "Fine you big baby" I say laughing about how she sounds like a little kid.

"Yayy!!" She says screaming with causes me to have to pull my phone away from my ear because shes so loud, then she told me she'll be over later on today to do my makeup and stuff so I put my phone down and went down the stairs to go find something to eat.

"Good morning Amber" my brother Alonzo, said to me with a smile "Uhh... Good morning Alonzo.. Why so happy? " I asked curiously. Usually I can see right through him like glass but this time I couldn't so I wasn't gonna stop until he told me and I knew something got him happy because whenever I walk into the kitchen and he's awake he either says something rude about me, rolls his eyes or doesn't talk to me at all.

"N-nothing.. W-why do you think that? " he said stumbling on his words and scratching the back of his neck nervously. "Just cut the crap Alonzo, why are you in such a good mood, we both know that you never smile at me or even say good morning to me let alone talk to me, so just spit it out" I say frustrated.

"Okay I was eavesdropping on you and Ashley's conversation and I heard you guys talking about a party and I knew she was coming over so I got really happy and nervous at the same time." he said really fast turning red like a tomato. My brother has had a crush on my best friend since the first time she came to my house and I introduced her to my family but Ashley doesn't know it yet.

"It's okay calm down and slow down. I'm pretty sure she likes you too and when the day comes when you tell her how you feel, I'm sure she'll be flattered and if your lucky she might even give you a chance." I say winking at him and laughing. My brother had horrible taste in girls every girl he ever dated was either a slut, to preppy or already had a boyfriend and he didn't know it.

"You know what sis, you might be right, I hope you are right and if you are I owe you one seriously." he said getting all happy, with that I gave him a encouraging hug and went back upstairs and laid on my bed on facebook waiting for Ashley to come over so we could get ready to go to the party together.
