"What's up Carol?" Jessica was walking out of the Coffee Shop in a hurry. She had an interview today and she was excited about landing the job.

"You have another call from your debtors, this one is for the car...I wanted to tell you that just in case you don't find your car, you'll know why."

"Ugh this is frustrating Carol, I need this job because I'm drowning in debt right now."

"Hey you're the one that wanted a degree remember." Carol laughed at her sister. She really did feel bad for her but she had to learn to budget and manage her money or earn more.

"What the fuck!" Jessica yelled stretching each word.

"Whats the matter?"

"Some asshole just pushed me and I dropped my coffee on my fucking outfit....dam it I'm going to be late to this damn interview." She growled.

She looked up sighing...keep it together she told herself.

"Carol I'll call you later." She didn't wait for her to response.

She drove to her place, a bungalow on the east side of Los Angeles. If she changed quickly she would be 20 minutes late. She called the office manager letting her know she was running late.

She drove through the all too familiar graffiti streets and parked her car on the space that she miraculously found and walked the few feet that led to her house. She dug inside her purse grabbed the keys and let herself in.

She walked to her room and didn't think much about the noises that were coming out of her roommates side. She hurriedly found another outfit and changed.

She threw her clothes inside the hamper, looked at her reflection once before leaving then walked out.

She almost smiled at the noises that were coming out of the other bedroom. Jessica wasn't aware her roommate had brought a guest over.

She froze.

Where was her boyfriend?

His car was outside...
