Levels of Deception

I start to move my legs forward and I land on the guy I stunned as he falls. I am surprised that I didn't break anything. I remember my shoes. They have padding and springs in my feet. That's what saved me not the cop, they might have helped a little but not that much. I only have these shoes though, they aren't in our uniforms. Scarlet has the regular and I don't know if they are padded and have springs. I look back quickly and see her jumping. She reaches the cop and lands on him. She doesn't get up for a few seconds, but after a few more she gets up and she is fine.

I turn around and start to run away from the police. I run faster than I have ever had. I run down an alley as I hear the first sirens. I turn a couple of corners and they eventually lead to a dead end. I decide to hide. I stand in the corner and turn on my watch. Though, it's more of a smart phone. It has a lot more of features than a normal watch, so it's obviously not one of those.

I hack into the cameras around the city and focus on the one pointed at the alley I went into. I move the camera to the left and see Scarlet and their are quite a few cops chasing her. She turns into the alley and the cops follow behind her. We are both screwed.

I turn around to the corner and place my foot on the wall. I find a crevice on the wall and place my fingertips on it. I place my wit on it and shift my foot upwards. I move my foot on the other wall and start to find more crevices above. I shift each foot up and find places to put my hand. I climb up the corner in this method. After a few seconds I am at the top of the roof. Luckily at the first few weeks of training we learned this.

I stand up and look over at the corner I turned to run into the dead end. Scarlet comes running around the corner. She starts to look up as she comes to the dead end. I start to scale up the wall and when I get close to the top then I pull myself up.

"Scarlet, let me help you,"I whisper as I lay down on the roof and reach out my hand as far as I can , helping her climb up.

"Ok we need to hurry," Scarlet whispered.

I take her hand and pull her up onto the roof. We start to run on top of the buildings. We run to the north towards the HQ. We hear the cops behind us, shouting trying to get us down. We ignore them and start to run faster. We reach the end of the roof and jump to the next. We have to jump over a large alley, barely making it over.

We have to go onto about ten rooftops until we decide to stop. I turn on my watch and check the security cams again. I check most of them around the area. The police don't seem to be anywhere near us anymore. Not every place is bugged with security cams. I start to run again and Scarlet follows me once again. We come to a building that is taller. Taller than the one we are currently on. It looks more like a business building than the other ones. It looks as if it is almost all glass. Inside you can see a lot of people working in there. There are few rods supporting it. It's as if the building is clear as ice or just like ice itself.

It's a business building, so we now know that we are now in the business district. I start to walk to the end of the roof. I jump down off of the roof and I start to run down the small alleyway. I reach the end and look out into the streets. No cops are there so it's safe. I gesture towards Scarlet for her to come. I sprint across the street and turn towards the subway station, we are at number twelve right now. I start to run north and I go past the subway station. I start to run faster as I see people staring at me and giving me unnatural looks.

I run a couple of blocks and I stop when I see a police car. I am pretty sure that he has seen me. I bust out into full sprint and cross the street barely being hit by a couple of cars. I pass by a couple of people and almost knock into them, too. I look back to see Scarlet behind me, still following. She is about a meter or two behind me.
