A Long Drive Ahead

I just received the worst news.
My life has instantly changed. Forever.

Backstory:

Abby is a 17 year old girl who was born in north Carolina. She has a passion for art, and goes to ELHS, also known as Eastside Limonae HighSchool. She has good friends, a loving boyfriend named Tyler, and lives with her father. When Abby was six her mother died in a car accident, which made her life hard, but she tries to make the best of it. Abby had a caring, and happy personality, and was eager to learn.

Abby's P.O.V

Today, April 9th 2016, is going to be amazing!
(We have a 1 week vacation off from school so...)
I am going on a 5 day trip to Ohio with my best friend Vanessa to a couple art college to look at some programs. Vanessa and I are hoping to go to college together because we're best friends, duuhh!
Anyway, I got dressed in a light blue strapless dress with a brown belt. I paired the dress with brown sandals. (Pic Above!)I put my phone, wallet, and keys in my brown cross body bag, grabbed my small suitcase and hurried downstairs. My dad had made a small breakfast of pancakes and bacon. Yum!
I had time to spare so I sat down across from my dad and started eating.
"You behave in Ohio. Okay?" He said 'sternly'.
"I will daddy." I replied smiling.
"Stay on your guard, and you and Vanessa better stay by each other."
"Ok. Now it's my turn. Drive safe, and don't stay out too late while I'm gone."
I said "parent-like"
We both laughed and he promised he would be safe.
I gave him a big hug and kissed him on the cheek. "I love you daddy."
"I love you, too sweetie."

I walked to my car and put my suitcase in the trunk. I put the key in the ignition of my little red car and buckled my seatbelt. As I backed out of the driveway I waved to my dad.

I drove to my boyfriends house to say goodbye before I picked up Vanessa.
"Hey cute thang!" He greeted happily
"Hey babe" I replied
I hugged him and asked how his morning was
"It was good. How about you?"
"Good" I said smiling
"Are you all ready to go to Ohio?"
"Yeah. I'm gonna miss you tho." I said
"I'm gonna miss you too"
He leaned in and we had a long kiss.
Man, I'm gonna miss him, even though it's only 5 days, it's pretty far away."
I thought
We pulled apart and I hugged him and he just held me.
"I have to go" I said sadly
"Go conquer the world" he said
"I will" I began to smile
"I love you" he said
"I love you too" I replied.
I got back in my car and drove off.
