Short poetry, short loveliness, short.
I believe I won't be so worthless after all.
Believe me not, time is worthless and short
But we can both beautify and be tall.
But, I wish to write a short one only
And you supplicate for a bawdy long one.
Shortness can be compared to being lonely
Unlike being long: tedious and bearing no fun.
Thus short, I remark, is never too bad.
It may be rare, it may be flummoxing
But not as if every man is mad,
Or not every shortness of poetry is baffling.
Try sort the shortness of life,
Go and run! Liberate yourself from all.
Because to be ridden of indecorous strife
Learn to be short rather than be tall.
