~~Chapter Eight~~ Running Again

Start from the beginning

"Don't always assume that every girl in this school has the hots for you." I give him a cheesy smile and walk away. I find the room again,

"Now, what to take." I rummage through the room once again, just making sure I didn't miss anything. I find some clothes, and I put those into the bag. I find a sheath small enough to strap to my thigh. I place the dagger in it and run in place. Not bad.

Once I've trashed the room, I leave and walk down the corridors. I hear voices, and I hide behind a pillar. Two well dressed men walk past me. I watch them confused.

"That's weird, if they were right behind me, why didn't they see me?" I murmur quietly, but shrug it off. My mind is just telling me that this was the woman's doing.

I continue on my way, yet at every twist and turn, everything looks the same.

"What the hell? Where's the damn exit?!" My voice bounces off the walls, and a door opens.

"Can you please keep it down?" A tired (and shirtless) looking Cyrus comes out of one of the dorm rooms.

     Wait. Cyrus? Shit.

"Avalon? Oh my gods. Why the hell are you like, everywhere?" I grab Cyrus by his hair and press my lips against his. He's startled for a moment, but slowly presses into the kiss. He places his hands at my hips, and I tug on his hair, a moan slipping out of his mouth.

He pushes me against the wall roughly, causing me to gasp. He takes the opportunity to plunge his tongue into my mouth. My hands wander down to his upper body. I trace patterns on his abs, causing his body to shiver. His hands go down to my butt, and he squeezes, lifting me up in the process.

My hands fly around his neck to keep us steadied. He growls and I shiver at the sound.

"We don't have time to be doing this." He murmurs through he kiss. I smirk.

"Then tell me who you are, and I'll make time stop." I whisper back.

"Apollo." I snap my fingers and time stops. I unwrap my legs from around his waist, and tug his hands from my bottom.

"Lord Apollo, it's a pleasure," I dip into a mocking bow

     "How did you?"

"Know you? Well, I didn't know who you were exactly, but dots always connect at the end, leaving a pretty picture. You told Flamis that your name was William. Then you told me that it was Cyrus. Not to mention, in New York, there was no beach. You put an illusion over us, guarding us from the mortals."

"That doesn't prove anything." His eyes are still clouded over from before.

"Well you're right. But then  tell me, why are there no records of a William or Cyrus? And someone with no records, claiming to be the son of Apollo? I then took my pencil, and started to connect. Leading to a picture of Apollo."

His demeanor changed from the quiet Cyrus to the cocky and confident Apollo.

"Whew! Was wondering how long I was gonna stay that way. So what if I'm Apollo? I'm here doing some undercover stuff like an FBI spy or whatever."

"What are you doing here? Haven't your kids or even the ones you blessed noticed anything from you?"

"Nah, they don't suspect a thing from me. And as to why I'm here, that's classified information."

"Please? Maybe I could help." I bit my lips and his eyes cloud over again.

"Zeus sent me here because an evil is brewing or whatever. He said that one Thanatos kid was right all along, and since I'm more in touch with the school, they sent me." I smile.

"Thank you Lord Apollo. I'll be sure not to tell anyone that I almost fucked a god." I smirk, grab the discarded bag and walk away.

"Shit." I hear a bang and look back. Apollo had banged his hand against the wall, breaking it in the process. He sighs and waves his hand, fixing the wall. He then walks back into his room.

I continue on my way, dodging guards and looking for the exit. I finally find myself in the main entrance.

"Well I'll be damned." I murmur.

I walk out soundlessly into the dark morning. I move past guards and slip into the forest. I smirk.

"This is too easy." And of course, I hear a twig snap. I turn around and see the woman.

"So you managed to sneak out unseen. Nicely done. You have the works of an assassin."

"Oh please, you were probably putting something over me to be undetected."

"You are wrong my friend. That was all you. Now follow me." She leads me deeper into the woods.

     "I figured something out."

"Oh? And what was that?" She gives me a kind smile.

"Apollo is watching the school. He said Zeus sent him."

"They've finally caught on. Tiffany informed them of my ways, and she challenged the lord of gods himself. That's part of the reason she's gone."

"Oh. What exactly are you planning?"

"Don't worry, you'll find out soon enough. In the meantime, get yourself settled into the barn. It's straight up ahead. I'll see you soon." She starts to walk away, but suddenly remembers something, as she turns to look at me.

"Oh, and another thing, your real name is Lowen." She smiles and leaves. I stand there for a moment stunned, yet continue walking until I reach a clearing with a barn. The barn looks to be really old, and the building is lopsided, some of it already sunken in.

I'm surprised to find it furnished, as the barn itself seems to be in ruins. I walk through the threshold, and nothing seems to be wrong with it. I walk out again, and the barn is in pieces. I walk in, and the barn is intact.

I make myself at home, and soon fall into a dream state slumber.
