I Miss You

Chapter 8

Kenya's family is really tall. Mine is not.

"Well with that hair we might see her." Mason says.

"Oh shut up guys." I say laughing.

"But in all seriousness, stay close together." Mason says.

Kenya and I nod.

Kenya grabs my phone.

"What?" I ask.

"I wanna prank call someone." She says scrolling through my contacts.

"Who is ***-***-****?" She asks showing me.

"Old friend." I say not listening to the numbers she rattled off.

"I'm calling him, on my phone of course." Kenya says typing in the number.

"Put it on speaker." Mason says.

The phone ring once, then twice.

"Hello?" A voice answers.

"Heeeeeeey baby." Kenya says.

I try to hold back my laugh.

"Sorry who is this?" The voice aaks.

"Baby don't you recognize me?" Kenya says pouting.

I let out a small giggle.

"Wait, Fairy?" The voice says.

I freeze. Shawn? I thought I deleted his number.

"Who the fuck has a name like that?!" Mason says.

"A beautiful girl, that I mi-" Kenya hangs up.

"He remembers you I guess." Kenya says.

"Yeah.' I say slowly.

"By the way you have a nice name. Yeah." Mason says.

I nod, knowing what he means.

"Well were at the airport!" Kenya says as Mason parks the car.

Shawn's POV

"We are almost in California Shawn." My bus driver yells.

"Okay thanks." I shout back.

I've been staring out the window the whole time.

I feel my phone vibrate. I answer on the second ring.

"Hello?" I say

"Heeeeeeey baby." A voice says.

"Sorry who is this?" I ask confused.

"Baby don't you recognize me?" The voice says pouting.

I hear a small giggle.

"Wait, Fairy?" I say without thinking.

"Who the fuck has a name like that?!" A deep voice says.

"A beautiful girl, that I mi-" I get cut off. They hung up.

I throw my phone.

"Shawn we are at the resort you will be staying at." The driver says.

I nod.

"Shawn!!!" I hear someone yell.

I groan.

"It's not fans." Andrew says smiling

I step out of the busy.

"Matt! Cam! Nash!" I say smiling.

"Surprise!" Cam says jumping on me.

"Get all your things, the rest of us are staying at a hotel an hour away." Andrew says.

I nod.

"Guys, help me." I say walking back into the bus.

I grab my guitar and backpack.

"Get my suitcases and I need to find my phone." I say.

"It's over here, in the corner?" Cam says.

"I threw it." I say.

Cam gives me a weird look, but shrugs it off.

"Okay this is it." I say.

We carry everything to the little, cute house we are staying in for 2 weeks.

"Now be good Shawn. See you in 2 weeks." Andrew says hopping on the bus.

I nod and wave.

"Who has the key?" Nash asks.

"Um..." We all look at each other.

"OH! It's in my pocket!" Cam says pulling out a key on a bright yellow key chain.

We laugh and shake our heads.

We finally get inside and figure out what room we each get.

There is 2 small rooms, with a bunk bed in each one. It has a cute little kitchen and a small living room. There's a porch on the back facing the ocean. There is a small basement that is the laundry room. The bathroom is between the two bed rooms. It's quite homey feeling.

"Let's swim!" Matt says.
