" Uh... Star , what's with the affection ?"

"I know what its like to watch a loved one suffer , and you can do nothing about it."Starfire never resisted her grip on Jinx, The bubblegum pink haired girl could not help but think what it might have been like to watch Robin , or her team get hurt and cant do nothing to help them. Much less a whole planet. Being taken as a slave , and watching your home world go from lushes' Jungle to a barren wasteland. If anyone would understand what Jinx was going through , the girl hugging her would know exactly how she felt. Jinx has not cried since she was 9 , the felling felt alien to her, a single tear rolled down her cheek, Jinx latched her arms around the alien princess and hugged her back tight . Starfire patted her back as Jinx took a deep breath.

" Its all my fault." She whispered softly into her friends neck . Starfire released her and stood back looking at her like she was the alien.

" How in Tamerianea is this your fault?"

" Because of me Wally put himself in harms way, so I wouldn't get hit. Dr. Light knew Wally could get out of the way , so aimed at me , to hurt him. But I didn't think he would jump in the way . That was stupid... and idiotic ...and...Just the type of thing he would do." Tears threatened to fall, but she blinked them back. Jinx didn't know why she wasn't balling , Her love could die at any moment. And here she was , holding back tears. She didn't know if it was from growing up tuff or the way she isolates herself from her feeling . She wanted to be strong, to show that nothing could bring her down. But at the same time she wanted to scream till the moon traded places with the sun, and through thing, and very well possibly blow them up while she's at it too. She wanted to hint down Dr . Light then... Then what? Yell at him? Hex him? Jinx didn't trust herself to stand up to him again. Her anger and sadness could get the best of her and she would put Dr. Light in the morgue. That was frowned apron in the hero community for killing your enemies. She wished she was hit with that light ray not... him.

" My dear friend Jinx, what I'm about to say is out of love. You have to be very selfish to think that for one minute , that he did not know the cost of what he did, He knew he was putting his life on the line to save you. If I learned anything on this planet , its that love makes you do the craziest of things. He Loves you , that's all the motivation he needed to move his legs. You may think he's a corbag but , the way I see it he did a brave thing , its ok to cry over it , the bravest of warriors are always allowed to cry. But don't waist your tears on your self's pity . "

" That is the most adult thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth ."

" I've been working on that"

Then Starfire hugged Jinx again and this time Jinx held her back. It was selfish of her to think that she should have been hit. If she had Wally would have been in the spot she's in, she refuses to see him go through that. It wouldn't hurt him, it would crush him. He would hunt Dr. Light down and hurt him, or worse. She did not want to be the cause of all that. The two girls hugged for what seamed like hours before the door opened again.

"Oh, Hey am I interrupting something?" Robin said walking to them. Starfire let go of jinx .

" no I was just leaving."She gave jinx one more friendly hug and walked down the stairs back to the others. She left Robin and Jinx alone on the roof.

" How is he ?" Jinx said rubbing her eyes.

" He's fine,"

" Oh thank god!" Jinx screamed to the sky.

" It's a miracle that he even lived , that blast would kill someone like you or me. We can thank the speed force for that."

Jinx was so happy she couldn't help but smile." So what's wrong with him?'
