The return part 3

Time moved in slow motion. Jinx saw the blast coming for her, buy she couldn't move. Her bones felt like weights , her feet felt like lead. She couldn't move even if she wanted to .Her eyes grew wide , she knew what was coming ,she wasn't going to see another nightfall . in a last fetal attempt she covered her face with her hands. She waited for an impact that never came. For you see , someone took the blast for her . A Cretan scarlet and gold speedster, with rust red hair and bright blue eyes. Wally let out an agony, pain filled scream as he ran in front of the blast that could end his life. His body went flying to the right and it laid motionless . Reality of what just happened hit jinx like a semi truck. Her Boyfriend , Her loving ,caring, boyfriend probably just took his own life trying to save her. Jinx tried to say something .... Anything . She wanted nothing more than to Cuss Dr. Light out and cut him down to size . but all that came out of her throat was a high pitched wine that even she could barley hear. Dr. Light aimed the gun at her again.

" Now hold still and it will be all over Traitor." He had a huge grin on his face . He was then hit by something large it the back of the head. Stunned Dr. Light turned around to face Robin and Cybrog. Who talked him pinning him to the ground. Jinx took the hint , and had to forcefully tell her legs to move . She ran for her fallen loved one . she slid on the ground next to him and put her head to his chest . 'Bum bum, Bum Bum, bum bum .'

" Oh Thank god !" Jinx whispered "He's alive! He's alive!" she carefully put his head in her lap and over looked him. He looked like shit , all beat up and bloody , he looked like he was just dug up out of the grave. ' He's not dead' she reminded herself. She carefully felt for damaged areas of his body. He had a few broken ribs and maybe a busted hip. But the real damage would be in his organs . He needed medical attention quick! She had to focus on one thing at a time. She had to focus on the battle.

Robin and Cybrog held Dr. Lights arms, pulling them apart so he could not use them . He struggled agent them with no prevail. He stopped struggling dead in his tracks through when a certain someone was walking to him. Dr . Light started to sweat and shiver as Raven slowly made her way to him. In one last attempt to get away, Dr. Light elbowed Robin in the chin causing him to let go . Dr. Light turned another dial on the control bored .

" Laser blasts are not all what this baby can do." He pulled the trigger and a pure blinding white light laminated the warehouse. Everyone who was awake covered their eyes to keep from being blinded. When the spots stopped dancing in everyone's eyes . Dr .Light was gone, leaving them with a busted up team and crushed sprits.

Robin cursed and through his broken Bo staff . He looked around. Everyone was starting to wake up. Starfire was barley standing, and Beast boy was walking around dazed saying something about aardvarks. Robin then took one look at Jinx cradling Wally's head in her lap. His expression of anger turned to worry.

" We need a medic" the bird boy said " and now."

The Next couple of hours flew by , jinx would like to have said she stayed by Wally's side, but truth be told she was kicked out of way for Robin and Raven. They rushed back to titans tower and got Wally to their infirmary . Raven took it upon herself to help heal the Ginger of his wombs. Starfire took Jinx by the arm, and pulled her away from the ruckus. The Last thing Jinx saw of Wally that night was , Raven standing over him as he lay in a bed, then the door slammed shut.

" Where are you taking me this time Starfire?" Jinx asked , though her voice sounded horse like she haven't talked in years. Starfire didn't answer her , and kept on leading her to the stairs. Each step was like stepping on a heart string. She was distancing herself between her and her dying boyfriend. Ten thousand things were going through her mind at once, and she could not focus on a single one of them. Starfire opened the door to the roof, the girls stepped out into the refreshing night air. The moon stood looking proud and untouchable, In the dark sky. Only then did Starfire let go of jinx's arm. Then Starfire hugged Jinx , Not her soul crushing bear hug, but a gentle , mother like hug. Jinx couldn't move , in fact she tensed up.
