I walk up to the table and look at the 5 bowls. I take knife and slice my palm. I watch the blood start to exit the cut, while I move my hand to the bowl with the burning coals. I clench my hands and watch the blood burn on the coals, the room erupting into cheers.

The rest of the ceremony is a blur, I can't believe I went through with choosing Dauntless. I am so happy, I get to leave my father behind, and the weak Evie behind.

The next thing I know everyone around me starts running. So I get up and run with them. While running, I start to take my tight, neat bun down and let my blonde locks fall to my shoulders.

I realize that we are running to the tracks. I can feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins. The Dauntless and Dauntless born initiates start climbing the stilts to the track platform.

I am the first transfer to get to the platform. The tracks rumble underneath us, meaning a train is coming.

When the train comes into sight we start running again. I keep my pace with the second train car. I notice the older Dauntless staring at me in awe.

There is a large button next to the cabin door, so I push it, opening the door. With the door now open I swing myself into the cabin. And take a deep breath because I passed the first test.

I see everyone gaping at me, and I notice I'm not the only Abnegation transfer. And she looks like a Prior. I don't talk to anyone and ignore the stares. I start shifting so that I'm sitting with my feet dangling out of the cabin door.

"That was pretty amazing, especially coming from a stiff." A boy with blue clothes says sitting next to me.

"Well now you know why I left." I sass back.

"Ooo a sassy stiff, I think we'll get along fine. My name is Peter, by the way." He says.

"Evie, and has anyone ever told you that you talk like an Erudite." I say standing up because I see the Dauntless compound coming up.

"I'll work on that." Peter says with a laugh. I see the Dauntless jumping from the train to the compound and I smirk. "Nothing scares you does it." Peter saying staring at me like I have 6 heads.

"Not really, no." I say grabbing his hand and jumping out of the train landing on my feet and Peter on his knees.
