Sorry that it has been awhile since we updated guys. We have been crazy busy and neither of us have had time to update.
This chapter will focus on how girls know if they are lesbian.
1. You don't think guys are attractive. This should be a dead giveaway. If you identify as female and also only find other females attractive in your eye. You can recognize beauty in both males and females, but only female bodies are....... appealing.
2. The thought of kissing a guy or being touched by one intimately makes you want to hurl. This may not quite apply to those who haven't had their first kiss yet, but guys just aren't attractive to you.
3. Women are everywhere. When I say this, I mean that you notice women first. In movies, at the store or mall, at school. Your eyes are instantly drawn to women, whether you know them or not. When you see a straight couple walking down the sidewalk, the first of the two you look at instinctively is the hot girl instead of her boyfriend.
4. You have either all guy friends, or all girl friends. All of your friends are the same sex. You don't quite understand how to mingle with those who aren't the same sex as your friends. It is possibly to have an equal amount of friends in both sexes, but it is common to have all friends be the same sex. I never had any guy friends growing up until maybe meeting Kat's brother. Kat had all guy friends growing up, and I was one of her first female friends.
5. Your ring finger is longer than your index finger. It is a proven scientific fact that many lesbians have shorter index fingers than they do ring fingers. Don't ask me why, because I have no idea, but it is true. Granted it doesn't always happen, but if you are young and still have growing to do and you have normal fingers, then things might develop.
6. You see your future self in a committed and happy relationship with a woman, not a man. Face it, no matter how much of a player or independent you think you are, you will eventually want a long term relationship, which is what most lesbians want right off the bat anyway.
7. You feel different or even isolated from your female friends/peers. It's true that when growing up among girls, yet not able their conversations about boys is isolating in a way. Many girls who don't realize they are lesbian try and sometimes manage to convince themselves that they have a crush on a male peer. It is extremely common, especially if you haven't grown up with any homosexual role models.
So those are just a few ways to tell if you are lesbian, but there are so many more. Tell us other things you think make it obvious you are lesbian. And tell us how our writing is and if you like our book so far!
