Sierra's POV
I woke up in a fluffy turquoise chair which was seated next to the hospital bed.
I arched my back and stretched my arms out, releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding.
I looked at the dry erase board by ashtons bed. Jenny and Natalie it read. Jenny is such a nice person and she's marvelous at her job.
As I took a sip from my water bottle, the nurse walked in. "Hey Sierra!" Jenny exclaimed and I dashed from my chair to Jenny and pulled her in for a hug.
"So so so good to see you after a week, such a very long week. Where have you been? I have so much to tell you!" I smile and she smiles back, strolling over to Ashton to check his heart beat.
"I was sick," she frowns. "Do you ever get out of here?" She smirks and laughs. "You deserve a break babe."
"I've told you this story once," I smile. "He's my best friend and if he's here then so am i. He said he'd never leave my side, so im doing the same for him." I shrug and think back to some memories Ash and I had.
I had just finished my algebra 2 homework when the bell rings, dismissing us from our final class.
It was Friday, officially one week from homecoming and I still hadn't asked anyone to go with me. I was sure Bella and Chloe would go with me but I've never had an actually guy date to homecoming.
Hell yeah I was nervous and it would be nerve-racking asking a guy to homecoming, but I was a bit more worried about my alg. 2 test which was on Tuesday. I had just a few days to memorize all the formulas, which I wasn't really scared for that part, but I need to slow down when taking tests, take my time and do good.
I had always been an all A student but this year something, possibly someone, had been distracting me. My economics grade had slowly dropped to a B+ , which of course made my parents furious, they always think so highly of me.
Once I stepped into the fall air, the cold breeze hits me like a brick and I pulled my jacket closer to me. I watched where I stepped as I walked to Ashtons parking spot. "Hey pretty lady," he calls and I look up with a smile on my face
I instantly stop walking as I notice a difference in our every day schedule.
Balloons. Balloons were everywhere. They were tied around his rear view mirrors and taped to the sides of his car, so many balloons that you'd actually think his car would float away.
"Ash-" he cuts me off
"Homecoming?" He asks and the banner on his car reads the same thing. printed on it with beautiful bright colors plastered everywhere.
I stand there helplessly staring at his car - and him - a group of students gather around us. "Sierra?" He questions and steps forward, putting his hands on my upper arms and bending down a bit to look me in the eyes.
My mouth was wide open, but no words spilled forth. After a few minutes I finally was able to speak. "A-Ash," I pause again.
"Say yes already!" Someone screams from the crowd which makes me laugh.
I smile and look at Ashton, "of course i'll go to homecoming with you Ashton" he smiles and wraps his arms around me, resting his chin on the top of my head.
The crowd scurries away from us and Ashton unties all the balloons, piling them into the trunk of his car, he folds up the banner and does the same.
