I get back to the road and jog to my house.

I go to the kitchen. I grab a box out of the closet and fill it with the broken piece of the mug.

I take the box up to my parent's room. I grab my mom's perfume and put it in the box along with the pieces. I go to my room.

"Fairy." Shawn says out of breathe in the doorway.

I turn around and I'm engulfed in a warm hug.

Shawn doesn't say anything. He just rubs my back slowly.

I cry into his chest. I feel tears drip on my head.

My mom was like Shawn's second mom.

"Can you stay tonight?" I ask Shawn quietly.

"I wasn't planning on leaving you Fairy." Shawn says softly.

I turn to sit on my bed.

"Ow." I say.

"Your ankle is swollen." Shawn says.

He gets his mom to wrap it.

"Just a sprain." She says hugging me tightly.

"Stay off of it as much as possible." She says.

Shawn's POV

"Hangout in 10?" I shout to Fairy as she walks up her driveway.

"Yeah!" She shouts back.

I smile.

"Hey mom!" I shout opening the door.

"How was school?" Mom asks.

"Good! I'm going to hang out with Fairy." I say.

"Okay! Be back for supper." Mom says.

I jog over to her back door.

Yeah I'm early but it don't matter.

She's just standing in the kitchen, staring at the floor.

"Fairy!" I shout, she doesn't budge.

I sprint around to the front and thankfully the door is unlocked.

"Fairy." I say jogging towards her

"Something is wrong." She says slowly.

"Why? How do you know?" I ask worrying.

"My mom's mug." She says looking at the ground.

I look down. Her Mom's Favorite mug, shattered.

I grab Fairy's hand and pull her to my house.

"Mom!" I shout.

"Yes Shawn?" My mom says from the other room

She stops when she sees Fairy.

"Fairy." She says.

"Hi." Fairy says quietly.

She grabs the car keys.

"Shawn, Fairy. Come with me. Now." She says.

We get into the car.

"Mom, what's going on?" I ask.

She takes a deep breathe.

"Early today an ambulance was at your house, Fairy." My Mom says.

I squeeze Fairy's hand.

"I just wasn't thinking until you and Shawn came inside a few minutes ago." She says.

We ride the rest of the way in silence.

Once the car is parked we all jump out of the car.

I see Fairy's dad pacing in the waiting room.

Fairy lets go of my hand and runs to her dad.

"What's going on?" She asks hugging him.

"I got a call, saying mom collapsed when she was on the phone with her sister." He says.

"How is she?" My Mom asks.

Fairy's dad shakes his head and starts crying.

My Mom puts her hand over her mouth and shakes her head.

Fairy's dad nods.

"She was gone before they got her to the hospital." He says.

Fairy turns and runs out of the hospital. Her dad moves to go after her.

"No, you stay here, Shawn, go." My mom says.

I sprint out of the hospital.

"Fairy!!" I shout running after her.

She turns and runs into the woods. I keep running on the road to her house.

I approach her house. I run inside and begin to look for her.

I run up to her room.

"Fairy." I say out of breath.

Her back is to me. I walk over to her. She turns around and I hug her tightly.

I feel my shirt getting wet. A few of my own tears drip onto her head.

I rub her back slowly.

"Can you stay tonight?" Fairy asks me quietly.

"I wasn't planning on leaving you Fairy." I say softly.
