Sophie couldn't help but stare at the bustling port, there was always something different going on and it intrigued her. Her blue eyes flickered to the bright morning sky, even then the stars were twinkling – it was still beautiful to see, she could see them every morning at Interstellar but being on a ship made it more worthwhile to see."Miss Pennant! I trust that you are doing something useful in there!"Amelia called, the blonde jumped from her place at the window, knocking over her pile of books on the small nightstand. The feline rolled her eyes as she sipped her coffee, wondering who she got her clumsiness from. "Why did you insist on bringing Sophie on this voyage?" Mr Arrow asked in curiosity. "Her class is full of frittering layabouts where she will gain no experience, besides she amuses me." She smirked, taking another sip of coffee, Sophie meanwhile was trying to juggle between fixing her messy hair and picking up the books. "Stop fretting and meet us outside the stateroom!" Amelia called, knowing that Sophie was desperately trying not to continue her clumsiness. "Ok! I mean! Um... Yes, Captain!" Sophie called back, mentally kicking herself for not following protocol and addressing the captain as 'Captain' rather than a casual greeting. "Here I thought I was getting better at this..." She sighed, looking at the mirror briefly and moving forward, accidently kicking a stool – "Ow!" She yelped, lifting her foot to tend to it and unfortunately losing her balance and fell onto the floor. "Today isn't my day is it?" She moaned, getting up and finally leaving her small room to join Amelia and Arrow.

"It's about time dear, I was about to send in Arrow to rescue you." Amelia remarked, her voice filled with caring amusement."Sorry for making you wait, Captain." Sophie apologised, her cheek burning in embarrassment, the feline waved her off as she narrowed her eyes at the crew who were now boarding and loading up the ship. "Oh tish tosh." She muttered, Sophie followed her gaze for a moment – the crew were a unique bunch – neither jolly or angry, more as if they were just going through the motions. Most crew would make some sort of greeting to the Captain and First Mate. With that though, Sophie bowed her head a little and began to think about what duties she would be asked to fulfil this time. "Good mornin' Captain!"A voice greeted, rather happily. The blonde lifted her head to see a Cyborg character in a half bow with his hat in his hand as respect. "What a fine day for sailing it is! Why, as fine as yourself Captain!" He continued, Amelia subtly rolled her eyes – flattery got nowhere with her. The Cyborg seemed to sense this and stood up proper and placed his hat on his head with a nervous chuckle, Sophie raised her thick eyebrows in half amusement, "I am John Silver! Reporting for duty!" He smiled proudly, a light bounce on his heels as he smiled at the trio. "Very well, Mr Silver. As the ship's cook, you would understand that you should be in your station at this moment." Amelia replied, her voice sarcastic and bored. "Ah! Right away, Captain! Tonight you will feat on my famous Bonzabeast Stew!" He grinned before making off, Amelia sighed as soon as he left rubbing her forehead in annoyance. "There will be ten weeks of this." She muttered in quiet despair. Sophie looked to the galley where the Cyborg scuttled off to, he was amusing but there was something that didn't sit right in her stomach.

Amelia had disappeared to do her rounds of the ship, gracefully jumping around the shrouds to the crow's nest to each stern. Sophie wished she was as graceful, sure she could manoeuvre around like Amelia but she wasn't an expert like Amelia. She simply stood beside Arrow, staying out of the crew's way as the ship was loaded, with him barking orders. "Stow those casks forward!" Arrow barked using his stone hands to amplify his voice, Sophie merely watched – she couldn't do anything until the ship launched so she was fairly bored and out of bad habit, she began to twist her index fingers. "Heave together now!"Arrow shouted, the Flatulan – Mr Snuff – was suddenly squaring up to a boy around Sophie's age, who seemed rather perplexed and confused as to what Mr Sniff was saying to him. From what she gathered, it was along the lines of "Look where you're going! Next time I won't be so nice!" The young Interstellar student resisted to face palm when a strange dog like creature began to attempt to speak to Mr Snuff – insisting he was fluent in the language when was the exact opposite. The blonde pressed her lips into a thin line and turned away from the pair, knowing better than to blurt out her thoughts. "Good morning, Captain!" The dog creature greeted, Sophie mentally sighed – he had obviously never sailed before as blue was the Captain's colour and red was the First Mate. "And First Mate, everything shipshape?" He asked, Sophie turned with Mr Arrow – who was rather annoyed at being interrupted, while she held a rather pleasant smile. "Shipshape it is, sir, but I'm not the Captain. Neither is she the First Mate. The captain's aloft." Arrow explained politely, gesturing to the shrouds where Amelia was making her way down – showing off as usual. Sophie smiled a little, always impressed by her godmother's acrobatics. Jim stared at the feline but his eyes wandered to the silent girl beside what he assumed was the First Mate – she looked rather stuck up at a first glance but she had a pretty and polite smile which stirred something in his stomach. The brunette turned his head away, stubbornly believing his first impression of the blonde being stuck up as correct. She was probably just like the rest of the Interstellar students, a place he really wanted to go but he was poor and had no chance of ever going.

"Mr Arrow, I've checked this miserable ship from stem to stern, and as usual... it's spot on. Can you get nothing wrong?" Amelia pretended to rant before complimenting her right hand man, who stood proper while Sophie simply placed her clasped hands behind her back. "You flatter me, Captain." He replied, tipping his hat, Amelia winked at him and looked at her goddaughter for a moment. "Miss Pennant, I expect my tea to be brewed after launch." She commanded before turning to face the dog creature, blinking in amusement. "Ah, Dr. Doppler, I presume?" She asked, already knowing the answer – he began to stutter out an answer but his voice was rather muffled by his ridiculous suit which Sophie supressed a giggle at. She began to hit her knuckles off his helmet, true to her words earlier – she was going to find amusement in terrorising the poor man during the entire voyage, Sophie felt rather sorry for him. "Hello? Can you hear me?" She called, he began to wave his arms around in protest. Arrow eyed the boy with Dr Doppler, noticing that he was glancing at Sophie now and again – he was protective of the girl and he wasn't going to allow some soon to be cabin boy with a bad track record to distract her from her studies. "Yes, I can! Stop that banging!" Doppler shouted beginning to pull at the helmet to take it off, Amelia characteristically ignored him and inspected his suit before grabbing at the device on it's belly. "If I may, Doctor, this works so much better... when it's right way up and plugged in." She pointed out as she fixed Doppler's suit, it was only then he managed to get the helmet off as Amelia smirked triumphantly. "Lovely, there you go." She added as he turned round and glared at her – typical cat and dog relationship, Sophie thought. "If you don't mind, I can manage my own plugging!" Doppler exclaimed waving the plug in his hand, she continued to ignore what he was saying and shook his hand. "I'm Captain Amelia, late of a few run-ins with Protean Armada. Nasty business, but I won't bore you with my scars." She spoke, going off topic before turning to Mr Arrow and Sophie, the blonde smiling at the two newcomers. "You've met my first officer, Mr. Arrow. Sterling, tough, dependable, honest, brave, and true." Amelia smirked, subtly the blonde rolled her eyes and made eye contact with the teenager her age – she was thankful there was someone her age on the ship. "Please, Captain." Arrow replied, rather bashful of the compliment paid towards him. "Oh, shut up, Arrow. You know I don't mean a word of it." Amelia bantered. "And this is Sophie Pennant, my cultural and language advisor." The feline introduced, Sophie's cheeks went red from embarrassment as she nodded at the pair. "Pleased to meet you." Sophie politely grinned as she stood straighter. "Stands straight now but don't rush her, she is a little clumsy but we love her don't we, Mr Arrow?" Amelia bantered, though it did falter Sophie's confidence a bit.

"Ahem, excuse me. I hate to interrupt this lovely banter... but may I introduce to you, Jim Hawkins?" Doppler interjected, a relief for the blonde. Jim was gestured to by the doctor, he was more interested in what was going on around him than the conversation – the blonde didn't blame him. "Jim, you seem is the boy who found the treasure-" Doppler began to introduce, bragging in his voice, Amelia hissed as she grabbed the doctor's cheeks to stop him speaking. "Doctor, please!" She shushed, looking at the crew for a moment. "I'd like a word with you in my stateroom." She said quietly, tapping his nose with her claw. Sophie looked at the pair sympathetically as Amelia and Arrow walked ahead. "I wouldn't worry, she warms up eventually."She said to Doppler, who scrunched his nose as he tried to adjust himself. "Hm. You must be Jim's age, hey Jim! Sophie is the same age as you, maybe you two can be friends!" The boy turned his head to look at his companion, looking extremely disinterested in the idea. "Whatever..." He drew out in a mutter, Sophie felt a bit hurt but she wasn't going to let one boy ruin this adventure for her. "I'm sorry, he's not exactly the social type." Doppler apologised, keeping his voice down. "It's alright, I can't force him to do what he doesn't want to do." She smiled back, entering the room with the pair. Unbeknownst that Jim had heard her, rather surprised she wasn't going to push him.
