Hi guys! Welcome to Changed! I am not going to give you a cast for this story 'cause I always like it better when we make up our own faces for a character! Throughout the story leave comments of any predictions or just what you're feeling when reading! Also, if you didn't know, Bellissimo Pensiero is NOT my name! This is an anonymous account! Bellissimo Pensiero is a phrase in Italian that means 'Beautiful Thought'. All stories start from a beautiful thought. Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!

I decide to look through my room once more before it's time to leave. I have spent 18 years in this house and it's finally my turn for a better chance at life. Don't get me wrong, I'll miss it here in San Francisco but I won't miss the horrible memories that are burned into my brain from this place. I might miss my mother a little, but not much. She's so perfect and pushes me way too hard. She always tells me when I mess up or make a little mistake. Gosh I can't wait to get out of here. Interrupting me from my thoughts my mom opens the door to my small box shaped room.
"I have been downstairs waiting for you for 10 minutes." she says with a look like what the hell are you still doing up here? "Are you wearing that today?" she adds with an almost disgusted look. I look down at my T-shirt with flowers on it and my blue jeans then look back up at her with a confused look. "Honey, you can't wear something like that for your first day. Why don't you put on some khakis and a polo." I look down again at my clothes and decide against arguing with her.
"Yeah, you're right. I'll change real quick." I might as well make her happy today since I don't have to tomorrow. Once I get to the college, I don't have to listen to what she says anymore. She'll be 3 hours away and won't be able to make me change if she doesn't like what I'm wearing. I wear really modest clothes like jeans, longer skirts and shorts, and high cut tops. But my mom wants me to always look as professional as possible.
I quickly change, say goodbye to my room, grab my keys, and head out the front door with my mom following behind. I take my car and she takes her. I told her I didn't need her help moving into my dorm but she insisted. I know she's only coming so she can control everything and make sure I do everything her way.
After about 3 1/2 hours, we are pulling into the school's front parking lot. I get out and tell my mom to wait in her car while I go to the front office to ask about the dorms.
The front office is about a 3-4 minutes walk from the parking lot. My cousin graduated from Chico State and warned me about how it's a long walk to get anywhere in that school.
I walk into the office and observe to find out who to talk to. There were only two other students in the office. A small girl with two braids and bright red lipstick. I think she could be really pretty if she didn't cake on so much makeup. The other student was a tall guy with dark hair. He had toned arms and I could nearly see the veins in his neck popping out. He also had a rose tattoo at the top of his arm which was just peeking out underneath his plain gray T-shirt.
"Can I help you?" the boy asks me with a rude tone. I didn't know what to say but right when I was going to say no, he spoke again. "Is there a reason you are staring at me? It's annoying." he snaps then turns away and walks out, not even giving me a chance to answer. What the hell is his problem. I brush it off and walk up to a small lady with glasses sitting behind a big fancy desk.
"Hi, I need to get my dorm room number and key?" I ask and a sweet smile appears on her face.
"Hello sweetie welcome to CSU Chico. My name is Cindy McCarson!" I wondered how she was so happy sitting behind a desk 24/7. She stuck her hand out to shake mine.
"Nice to meet you, My name is Jessalyn Marcus but everyone calls me Jessie." I tell her and offer a smile.
"Good to know" she gives me a smile and a wink, "Let me look up your dorm number and get you your key." I nod and patiently wait. After about 30 seconds, she gets up and goes to a locked up cabinet. I assume she's grabbing the keys. She sits back down with two keys in her hand and types something into her computer.
"Okay I think we are all set. I have two keys here for you, I advise you always have both of them with you just in case of anything. Your roommate also has two keys. Her name is Sara and it is her second year. You guys are very different." she informs me but gives me a nervous smile. Nervous? Why nervous? She said me and my roommate are very different but that should be a good thing, right? Besides, I need to focus completely on my studies anyways. I think she spots my nervousness 'cause she says "Oh no, she's really nice. Just different from you." I give her a small smile and nod my head.
She has me sign some paper work and gives me a map of the school. "Your room is located directly in front of parking lot C. In fact, I'm sure you'll be able to park your car very close to your room."
"Oh that's wonderful, thank you so much Mrs. McCarson." I shake her hand one more time and start to head out.
"Oh wait! Jessie, you forgot your keys!" Mrs. McCarson shouts out before I reach the door.
"Oh gosh, sorry!" I say and walk back to her desk.
She hands me the two sets of keys and smiles again. "You will be dorm #1342"
I thank her again and walk out of the office more excited than ever.
