"(Y/N)," your mom started weakly as she looked up at you. "Please... Go..." You shook your head furiously as you tried to lift the building that had collapsed onto your mom. Tears streamed down your face as the building wouldn't budge.

"(Y/N)," your mom repeated, as you simply ignored her and tried your best to lift the building, even just a bit. You squeezed your teary eyes shut as you tried harder, but there was no use. Your mother was stuck.

"Go," she repeated weakly, a few tears streaming down her face as you ignored her again. The thumps got louder as the ground shook, causing you to desperately put all your strength into lifting up the building, as you knew exactly what was nearing you.

"Please, (Y/N)," your mother begged. "Make it out safe... You still have a chance." Tears continued to stream down your face as you sobbed. You would've refused, if you had been able to get any words out. This time you tried to pull her out, but she only groaned loudly as you had caused pain to surge through her body.

You let go of her and instantly dropped your head to your lap as you squeezed your eyes shut and sobbed loudly. You could hear the thumps get louder, but didn't dare to move from your mom.

You decided to try to save your mom one more time as you put your hands on the building, pulling upwards with all your strength. Before you knew it, there was another pair of hands helping you, and you looked to your side to see a woman around your mom's age trying to help, but the building still wouldn't budge. You almost didn't notice the little girl around your age behind the woman. She had chocolate hair and caramel eyes, and you assumed she was the woman's daughter since they looked pretty alike.

"Please," your mom started weakly as she lost a lot of blood, and knew she didn't have much time left. "Take my daughter and get her to safety... That's all I ask..." The woman looked down at your mom, nodding hesitantly as she grabbed your hand gently and pulled you up.

"No!" You yelled, pulling your hand away and looking back at your mom, who smiled weakly. The thumping got louder, to the point where it sounded like it came from only a little farther ahead.

"Please, (Y/N)," your mom started. "Go with them." Tears streamed down your face as you looked down at your mother's weak form in disbelief, before someone grabbed your hand and started pulling you away.

"No," you pleaded weakly, your sobs stopping you from saying anything else. You struggled more the farther you were pulled away from your mom. The woman from before had picked you up, and started running with you in one hand while pulling what you assumed to be her daughter with her other.

You had your face towards where your mother's form laid weakly, when you saw a titan stop by her. Your mom smiled weakly and mouthed "I love you" before the building on top of her was pushed away, and her weak body was picked up.

Tears continued to run down your cheeks as you stared in disbelief and complete horror at the sight of the titan placing your mom in his mouth, and swallowing.

Everything around you got blurry as you heard a faint voice call your name.

You shot up from your bed, breathing heavily as you felt something wet on your cheeks. You brought your hand to your cheek and realized you had been crying in your sleep, before feeling a hand rub your back gently and reassuringly. Your back kept getting rubbed until you had calmed down somewhat.

"Another nightmare?" You nodded in response, before looking over at your friend. It was the same chocolate-haired and caramel-eyed girl from your dream, the one who had taken you in as a sister after your mother's death.

"It's about time to get going," your friend, also known as Kadence, explained. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion before remembering.

You were, in fact, a 105th trainee. You first came yesterday, along with Kadence, so this was only your second day of training.

You instantly jumped out of bed and started changing into your uniform, not wanting to be late and get laps on only your second day of training. You fumbled with your clothes a little, causing Kadence to laugh at how rushed you were. You still had a while before being late, but you weren't gonna take any chances, knowing Shadis will not go easy on any of you.

"Ready?" Kadence asked after you had finished.

"Ready," you replied, before walking out of the girls' dorm with Kadence and made your way to the mess hall. Both of you grabbed your trays, and looked around for somewhere to sit. Almost all the spots were full, except for one table near the back, where three girls were sitting.

You and Kadence looked at each other before making your way towards the table, since it was the only place available.

"Excuse me," Kadence started, earning the attention of the three girls. "Can we sit here?"

"Of course," one of the girls responded kindly with a warm smile. She had blonde hair and deep sky blue eyes, and her voice was pretty high-pitched. You and Kadence both sat down across from the three girls.

"My names's Sasha!" A girl with brown hair in a pony tail exclaimed, even thought she was currently chewing on bread.

"I'm Krista, and this is Ymir," the blonde said and pointed at another brunette with freckles. "We're members of the 104th." How couldn't you or Kadence see this before? All three of them were wearing green capes from the Survey Corps, so it was pretty obvious.

You and Kadence had stood up immediately, saluting.

"It's ok," Krista started with a slight giggle. "There's no need for that." You breathed out in relief and sat back down with Kadence.

"My name's Kadence and this is (Y/N)," Kadence introduced happily.

"I can't believe we got to meet you guys!" She continued. "You're like my heroes!" You smiled at Kadence's childishness, as the girls had slight blushes on their faces.

"What are you all doing here, anyway?" You asked, before your eyes widened at how cold your voice had been. You didn't mean for it to sound that mean, you were just curious.

"Not that I have anything against you being here!" You quickly assured, as Krista giggled in response.

"We had no duties back at the HQ, so commander Erwin let most of us 104th come check on the new trainees," Krista explained.

"You guys should meet the others," Sasha suggested through chews. "I bet they'd love to met you two." Kadence immediately squealed, causing you to giggle quietly. Someone barged through the mess hall doors, causing pretty much everyone to flinch. You and Kadence turned around since your backs' were facing the door, seeing Shadis.

"Everyone put your trays away and come outside for training, now!" He yelled, before leaving. You and Kadence took as many bites of your food as you could as you put your trays away, before hurrying outside for training.

Hopefully nothing bad will happen.

First chapter finished, yay!

One question, though: Yeager, or Jeager?

Ok, I have another questions: which AOT character is your favorite? Mine is Connie, second place goes to Levi, and third place is a tie between Armin and Sasha!
