Nightingale blinked for a moment, her eyes still a bit shocked. As the golden light spread over her, her shoulders slacked and her eyes fluttered closed. As they closed completely, she nodded her head floppily and let herself collapse onto the grass. She curled up for a moment, her wings spreading out to seemingly protect her. Then encircled her in an almost air-tight coffin, and the feathers felt like razor-blades to the touch.

They sat like this, in a shaky silence, for almost five minutes. At the end of the silent eternity, Nightingale uncurled from her enclosure and swept her wings away. She sat up quickly, her eyes wide and free, though still seeming a bit strained. She looked a little surprised. "What happened?" She asked, raising her eyebrow lightly at Risa's and Gideon's expression. "What's up with you guys?" She asked, kneeling and brushing her arm off. "It was just a panic attack. I get them every now and then. It's no big deal." She said, showing Gideon a reassuring smile. "See!" She said, gesturing to her lit face. "I'm fine. I swear. I promise!" she lied smoothly, standing up seamlessly. "What about a fair? That would sound fun." She said, smiling at the two.

"Let's go to this fair. I'm sure there's lots of things we can talk about that still have to do with magic." she said, showing Gideon a smile and reaching for his hand. "C'mon!" She urged, glancing and smiling to Risa. "You don't mind if we go so suddenly, do you?" She asked, looking to her hopefully.

Risa didn't seemed convinced that Nightingale was as well as she said. The Panic attack, and her pulsing aura from before appeared to her as distressing signs. However, Instead of questioning her, Risa simply shrugged. "If you say you are alright.... Of course I don't mind. The fair is an amazing part of life here. Go, Have fun, the two of you."

Gideon smiled, took Night's offered hand, and stood. He was also eager to leave. "There's so much to show you. Let's go!"

This time actually cheering up, Nightingale smiled and nodded, squeezing Gideon's hand as he walked her out and to the fair itself.

Like any fair, this town's fair had many carnival rides. Its centerpiece was a large Ferris wheel that could be seen on the horizon throughout the whole town. Located just outside the town itself, the fair included all sorts of things that a fair normally would: Prize stands, cheap games, sugary food and alcoholic drinks. Along with the food venues, there were many small craft shops and studios dotted along the main avenue of the fair, selling everything front cheap rings to master-crafted paintings. The thing most important to the town though, were the band-stands, stages, and performing venues all over the fair, in which people could sign up to go and sing on.

Nightingale marveled at the glimmering fair, with all its lights and dazzling signs. She squeezed Gideon's hand a second time as the filed into lines to get their tickets to go in, and whatever wrist-bands they needed to ride the rides there.

When it was their turn, Gideon walked up to the ticket seller and purchased two bands. After paying, he turned to Nightingale and handed her a band. In reality, It was a simple red clothe bracelet. "Now we can get on any ride we want, but that's probably the /least/ important part of the entire fair," Gideon said, pulling Night through the fairground. "The most important piece is the arts!" He stopped at jeweler's booth. The things on display glittered and shined. They were all beautiful, and very well crafted.

The vendor was handsome man, staring very intently at Nightingale. "Like what you see?" He asked in a strong voice, fitting of his big figure.

Nightingale, who was oddly acting shy for now, hid moderately behind Gideon most of the time in the Jeweler's shop. Yes, she loved the beautiful rings and necklaces that were laid out on the table, and the ear-rings hung on a small rack at the edge, but she felt awful shy all of a sudden when the man spoke. She mumbled something slight and hid her wide, adorable puppy eyes just above Gideon's shoulder.
