The young man was pacing around the room. This couldn't have just happened. How was this even possible?

Today like many other days a new family moved into his house. The difference this time was that the family had a child, a daughter to be exact. Josh was leaning against the window of the attic examining the girl. She had flowing brown hair that came down just past her shoulders. She had a black zip up sweater on and worn out jean shorts. She also had on a pair of Converse shoes, just like me, he thought. Josh ended up lost in his thoughts thinking about how different she looked from the other girls that he could remember, all stuck-up and snotty. It was hard to find someone real, at least in a girl that is. But this girl looked so peaceful and clever. She seemed like the kind of girl who wouldn't mind having those deep night-long conversations about childhood memories or just getting to know one another. That was what he had always been looking for. But then reality hit him. He knew none of this could ever happen. He would never be able to have a girlfriend. That was the sad reality you had to face when you've already passed away.

This is when he decided to take one last look at the pretty brunette, only to find her frozen, already staring at him. But how could she possibly see him? That was something Josh couldn't figure out and it freaked him out. Though now he definitely didn't want to give up on this girl. He was going to try everything in his power to have what he didn't even wish about having anymore.

Sarah's POV.

I just finished unpacking all of the boxes I had brought into my room earlier. I didn't know why, but I just felt like I was being watched. It didn't feel like a creepy kind of "being watched", but I just felt eyes on me, sometimes. It might just have been from the experience I had earlier with the boy on the windowsill. Who knows? Maybe it was just a hallucination. It just looked all too real. A warm shower is all I needed to clear my mind.

I had finally pushed all of my thoughts out of my head and went back towards my bedroom. I turned the doorknob and as I stepped inside, the first thing my eyes saw was a pair of shoes. My heart suddenly started beating faster. My eyes trailed up to a pair of legs with jeans, then a full body with a plaid red and black shirt, then a shocked face topped off with wavy blond hair. My eyes grew wide and my jaw dropped open. I was just about to scream, when the boy ran up to me and cupped my mouth.

"Shhh!" he said.

I was breathing heavily into his hand. His cold, yet comforting hand. I stared right into the boy's eyes. They were a deep hazel brown and they looked so clean and clear. My whole body was shaking. My eyes were still wide. He could obviously see the fear in me.

"It's okay. Don't scream please. I'm not going to hurt you." the boy said, trying to calm me down. I could feel my body starting to relax as I kept on staring deeply into his eyes. I was still scared and shocked, but not as much anymore. His voice was somehow reassuring to me. His hand then slid off of my mouth, leaving an icy cool rush on my cheek. I looked up at him and then brought my hand to the part of my cheek where his hand had laid. I asked him why was he so cold. And he told me that it was kind of natural. I still didn't know who the boy was but there was something about him that was oddly familiar. It's like I've seen-...wait...

"You're the boy I saw in the attic," I said so suddenly as I realized who he was.

"Yeah that was me" the young man said.

"Who are you? Do you live here?" I asked him.

"I guess you could say that," he chuckled. "I am Josh and you are?"

"Sarah." I said, almost in a whisper. I wasn't sure if I could trust the boy. I mean this house was an old wooden one in the middle of the woods. It was so far away from everything. There was no sign of food or leftovers when we arrived and we didn't see another car. How could he survive with no food or water? That's when a thought hit me. A frightening thought. An unbelievable thought. A thought that might be crazy but might be true. I looked up at "Josh" again with wide eyes.
