Unexpected

He began crying. I hated seeing him like this. 'My dad...I had a huge fight with my dad. He was arguing with mom and it turned out really bad, so I stepped in...' It was quiet for a moment.

I heard his voice crack and I gave him a hug. He was such a sensitive guy. 'And it turned out that my dad was seeing another women, so my mom completely freaked out. My father was drunk, again. After breaking a few things in the house he went to our car, and he was gone, he had a car crash. oh Kylie what do I do, he's dead! My father is dead!' And now he was crying in my shoulder.

Omg I couldn't even believe it. His dad was such a great person, not when he was drunk though. But this was really bad. I didn't know what to say to him. 'Well how do you know for sure?' 'There was an ambulance, 2 blocks away, so we went there and I saw my father, he was not breathing anymore, they did everything they could!' wow. I never would've thought this would happen. I was really sorry for Alex. He didn't deserve it. He was such a good guy.

It was quiet for a long time. He was still crying his eyes out. I just couldn't find the right words to say. 'Oh Alex, I understand it's very painful, and it takes a lot of time to get over it, but I'm sure you will! He didn't deserve to die like this.' I made him smile through his tears. It broke me to see him like this.

We sat there for what felt like hours. Every second was ticking by slowly. And he just sat there, crying. He was really broke. I should take him out the next days, to keep his mind off from his dad. I was sure that the party this weekend would help.

I was sitting on my bed, chatting with Lycia, Noah and Blake. We had a groupchat where we could talk about anything. Normally Alex would be in it too but he left all the groupchats and he quitted social media for awhile. I completely understand it and my friends did too.

It was Friday evening, that means my party is in 2 days. I invited all of my friends, I didn't get the chance to invite Josh though.

'Should I send him a message' I asked to the group. I immediately got an answer from Lycia. 'OF COURSE OMG DO IT NOW' and not much later I was sitting there, staring at my screen, thinking about what to type to Josh. What if I typed something wrong, I opened the chat. 'Hello Josh' No, that sounded too formal. 'Hi Josh' hmh that sounded like I was his mother. Okay this was harder then I thought. I ended up writing 'hey :)' and pressed the send button. I went to the group and typed: 'OMG I SENT HIM A MESSAGE'. Noah was the first one to answer 'gurl you got yourself a cutie, o-m-g we need to do our nails and hair!' Psh Noah was being "funny" again. I laughed, it was kinda funny.

Not much later I got an answer from Josh 'Hi there :D' he sent a smiley! That's a good thing right? Or no? Maybe he doesn't like me? I had to ask him to my party, I didn't want to beat around the bush. 'I'm throwing a party this sunday, want to come?' I typed. Oh I hope that he would come. It was a perfect chance to get to know him.
