Three things Kim Taeyeon wished while she was on shotgun seat shuffling the playlist on her phone:
1. Schedule to end early.
2. Schedule to end early.
3. Schedule to end early.
She knew her damn wish is impossible. She's been busy all year, arguably the busiest among her members, and she knew that free time was the least thing she has to expect at times like this.
She's currently on her way to another photoshoot, something she outspokenly disliked. She's silently praying for it to be cancelled, the last hope she had.
She felt weird, being alone. But somehow, she's liking the company silence is giving her.
"Someone's lucky today!" her manager exclaimed after talking to someone on his phone.
"I'd like to believe that's me. Is it me?" her eyes hopeful.
"Ha! Of course..." her manager smiling widely.
"Of course?" she could feel her heart beating loudly.
"Not." her manager smirked.
Taeyeon almost cursed out loud, good thing she caught herself just in time. Her manager knew from the start that she hated being played like that. She shook her head slowly and just decided to turn her gaze towards the window, admiring how vibrant Seoul looked during the night. Surprisingly, she felt really sleepy. She didn't say anything for exactly three minutes. She didn't even notice herself falling asleep with her neck positioned very awkwardly on the side.
"Off you go, lady!"
Her manager's voice was enough to wake her up. Her vision was still blurry, and she tried her best to rub the sleep away from her eyes.
Off to hell, she thought.
When her vision was finally back to normal, she was surprised at the sight of a very familiar building in front of her.
"I thought there's a photoshoot, Oppa. What, we're going to shoot here?" Taeyeon asked sarcastically.
"I was just joking earlier. The staff cancelled the shoot. There has been a miscommunication between the photographers. The shoot went down like hell." her manager laughed.
She felt really annoyed, to be honest. She doesn't know if she's just overreacting, but at the top of it all, it was not a nice joke for her. But then again, she felt relieved.
"So, that explains the phone call then..." she muttered weakly.
"Exactly. What are you waiting for? You're really lucky, your schedule will start at the afternoon tomorrow. You have all the time in the world to rest!"
"Thank you, Oppa." She smiled and went out of the car.
She reached the 9th floor and immediately keyed-in her passcode.
Ah, home.
It's 7:28 pm, no dinner, yet she isn't hungry at all.
Should I just sleep? She thought.
But she just slept on her ride back home, and she isn't feeling sleepy anymore.
Oh, what to do?
She checked her Instagram account for a while, and decided to upload a selca. Only a few seconds have passed and her notifications were filled with likes and comments from her fans and of course, her bashers.
She closed her phone after seeing ten rude comments telling how ugly she is, how she broke their oppa's heart, how egoistic she is, and how she allegedly kicked out someone from her group.
She knows that the number of rude comments would increase, but she knows better. She's been immuned to everything they'll throw against her. One time, when she thought she had enough, she decided to reply back to one angry netizen's comment on her photo and all she got in return was more hate.
She kept telling herself she's used to it, she's fine, she's strong. But she knew deep inside that it still does hurt.
She stood up and went to grab her laptop. She decided to just watch a movie to let time pass by.
Fifty-five minutes in and she was really immersed, when a booming voice pierced through her ears, right through her earphones.
Of course, it could only be her.
"Taeyeon-ah! What's up?" Tiffany sat beside her and peeked through her screen.
"Why do you always have to shout whenever you get home?" Taeyeon asked sincerely.
"Who's shouting? I'm not shouting. Why would I?" Tiffany said while taking of her coat.
The two ate dinner together, good thing Tiffany brought a lot of food home or else Taeyeon would be starving for the rest of the night since she has no intentions of going outside for food.
"You're bored. Stop the movie. Now." Tiffany commanded. Taeyeon went back to her laptop after finishing dinner, leaving Tiffany eating on the table.
"Who says I am?" Taeyeon asked.
"Got a better idea." Tiffany smirked.
"Tell."
"Okay. I've got this from a friend. Why don't you make a secret account on every SNS we know. You could actually live like a normal 27 year old, not SNSD's Taeyeon."
"People would still know. I don't want to risk it. My private life is the only thing I have, so, no."
"Let's try the easiest, then. Let's get you on Facebook." Tiffany smiled as she took my laptop from me. "Let's see. Okay, here. Sign up!"
"No."
"Yes. Okay, name. Of course you can't be named Taeyeon."
After an hour of thinking, Mi Young gave up. "Okay, not on Facebook. Let's do Twitter."
Tiffany accessed Twitter shortly after. "You only need a username. Go!"
This is seriously hopeless, Taeyeon thought.
"@kimtaeyeon09?" Taeyeon asked for Tiffany's approval.
"Seriously? You are making a SECRET ACCOUNT! Fine, what about @pinklover223? @tytyty334?"
"No thanks." Taeyeon replied.
"To get this over and done with, let's just use your first username ever. In any SNS, in any app you have signed in for. So?"
"@taeranosaurus?"
And just like that, she watched Mi Young laughed her ass out for five minutes straight.
"Oh my God," Tiffany said while wiping her laughing tears, "That's nice. Let's go with that."
And just like that, some lady who's awkwardly sitting on a couch beside her best friend who's currently dying of laughter has just successfully introduced herself as @taeranosaurus on another Netizens' lair.
"You're not gonna regret this." Tiffany smiled playfully while setting up her best friend's new Twitter account.
I hope not, she thought.
