Imagined Autumn

The wind breezes past the lonely tree in a forest of towering concrete and steel,

Its mighty yet fragile branches sway to the winds every whisper.

It cries, a beautiful shower of its dead leaves.

It signals the death of the old, and the birth of the new.

The passerbys ignore the cries, most of the time annoyed.

The artist is anoyed as well, for he has lost his chance to capture the moment permanently.

But maybe, through his words, he can immortalize its pain and sorrow.
