Chapter 10

~~1 month later~~

Bethany's Pov

A month. A month since Kenneth and I fought. A month since we last talked. All we do is say Hello and Goodbye and make eye contact. That's it. 

School is off for a week which is great because I can't do school anymore. I'm tired and shit and I just wanna eat, sleep, eat, eat, sleep, eat, eat, and eat.

"I'm going to the beach today. Wanna come with me?" Julia asked. 

"No thanks. I just wanna stay here. I'm lazy." I yawned.

"Kk. I'll probably sleep over at Kennadi's." She said.

"Okay. Have fun." I smiled. With that, Julia grabbed all her stuff and left. 

I sighed, thinking about what to do. 

An hour later and I still don't know what to do. I decided to play Color Switch because it is my favorite game and I play it when I'm bored. I was so close to beating my score when someone knocked on the door. 

"Fuck!" I yelled when the little circle popped. I sighed and opened the door without even looking at the person who knocked.

"Umm...Is Julia there?" 

I turned my head to the boy. It was Kenneth. "Oh um no she went out to the beach with the group like an hour ago. Why?" I said.

"Oh I just wanted to talk to her about something." He said.

"Oh um okay..." I'm calm but my mind is screaming so loud right now. This is getting really awkward.

"Can I..uh..come in?" He asked breaking the silence.

"Oh yeah. Sure." I said. Honestly I couldn't even think straight right now and I could die any minute.

"Sooo...I'm sorry. For what happened at the beach..." He confessed with his head down.

"It's alright. I understand. I mean you were just trying to be a good friend and yeah..." I smiled. 

"We're good now?" He asked, lightened up at what just happened. 

"We're good. Yes." I grinned. Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod.

He smiled. "How are you and Justin?" 

"Oh, we're great. I replied. He pursed his lips and looked down, then he gave me a half smile. 

"Well, that's fantastic..." He said.

"Yeah. How are you and blondie?" I asked. He chuckled at what I just called her.

"Me and Brittany, who's the blondie, are doing just fine." He replied. I nodded, but remembered he supposedly is using her to make me jealous. Well, it's never going to work. I checked at the time and it was 1:28 pm.

"I'm really tired." I yawned.

"Oh well I guess I'll go. I have some stuff to do anyway and you really should need to take a rest." He said. I nodded and climbed under the covers. 

"Bye." He said before shutting the door off.

"Bye." And after that, I slowly drifted off to sleep.

Kenneth's Pov

I sighed as Brittany  held my hand. "Hey baby." She said. "You tired?"

"No." I said in annoyance. 

She walked in front of me and hugged me. Then, she pressed her lips against mine. Still, I felt nothing. No heat at all. She put her fingers to the bottom of my shirt. We made out for 20 seconds and pulled away. She grabbed me to go inside the cabin until I spotted Bethany standing outside the cabin with her eyes right on us.
