Cancer

Bravery is a battle in it's own

Yet this young girl still battles on

Fighting for the air she breathes

A silent struggle only she can see

Beautiful eyes filled with sparking tears

A battle worthy of one twice her years

Hair has fallen out, but she won't give up

Her family worries out of love

The doctor's faces are so grave

They fear she is a soul they cannot save

This little girl is on her own

Yet in her struggle, she is not alone

Inspired by her courageous fight

People cheer for her with all their might

This struggle with cancer is taking it's toll

Deep down inside, I think she knows

Each day her breath grows dangerously thin

Death doesn't mean that she will not win

She never gave in to this disease

At least she will be able to die at ease

Never alone, even in death

For her friends are there as she breathes her last breath

Pale cold skin, they know she is gone

But finally she is where she belongs

Back as and angel in the beautiful sky

Because true heroes never die
