*Yawn*, Melissa's yellow, half-broken alarm rang. She was late to school, again. Lissa went straight to the bathroom, with her nightgown pulled up by her hands, and did what she had to do. She let the shower run, while she brushed her teeth, "The cool water must have ran out, now", she thought. Hurriedly, she took of her full-sleeved night gown, till her ankles, covered in multicolored polka-dots, and hopped into the tub. Hoping to catch the bus in time, she jumped out, put on her favourite top, hung on the door, and her turquoise jeggings with her Converses.
She fumbled down the steps, trying hard not to break her bones, wished her loving mother good morning, grabbed a toast and went to her stop. "Be safe out there, dear!", her mother exclaimed. Melissa replied quickly, "I will ma! Bye! I love you!" Her mom's face widened with a smile as big as her heart, but after another second, it vanished. She wondered whether it was the right time or not. Something huge was gonna happen; something, that could change her whole destiny. Her mom stopped, thought for a minute. The wind smelling of petunias gushed by her and she let out a long sad sigh of grief. She went back to the kitchen. Melissa's bag could have been forgotten if she hadn't seen Phil on the bus stop. She reached just in time to board the bus. "Late. Once again Ms. Edwards.", the driver snarled. Melissa apologized huffing, "I-I'm sorry, I was actually--" "Do not be late next time. I cannot wait longer.", Rusford snapped.
She sighed, "Back to old school, then"
