Friends. (All we'll ever be?)

11 1 1

I'd enjoy being us,
As two halves of a whole.
I'd be yours alone,
My heart and soul.
I'd love you,
Like no other.
I'd be faithful,
You as my only lover.
I'd rather be friends,
Then nothing to you.
I'd like to be more,
But only with you.
Friends is what,
We will always be.
So with a heavy heart,
I set you free.
You are not my possession,
Only my friend.
You're the hope I hold,
Until my bitter end.

Well, as you can gather, this is about a friend of mine. I just want him to know that, even though we're 'just friends' I still love him.
