Chapter 1

Hey, I'm Mackenzie Egan. I live with foster parents, I was adopted at 3 years old. My moms name is Barbra, my dads name is Carl. They pretty much let me do anything I want. I have red hair, I dye my hair a lot, I have Hazel eyes, I'm about 5'6, I dream of being an actress. My best friend is Jacque (Unknown_Songwriter ) she has short brown hair, she has glasses but doesn't always wear them, she's really pretty. We're both 17 years old." Wake up sweetie." My mom says." Okay." I say. I don't talk a lot. I put on a blue hoodie, black skinny jeans, and black converse. I go to the bathroom and straighten my hair. I go downstairs to the kitchen. My dad is always busy so I barley see him. We don't always get along." Have a good day sweetie." My mom says. I grab my phone off the table and wave to my mom. I walk to school on most days. I live pretty close to my school. I enter the doors and see Chloe and Camy. The bitches. They've bullied me since like 5th grade. I hate them." They Kenz." Jacque says running to me." Hey." I say smiling." Did you see the new Theatre teacher?" She asks." No." I reply opening my locker." Omg he's a babe!" She says putting her hand on her heart. I laugh." I bet he is." I put my stuff in my locker. Chloe slams it and my hair is caught in it." Aw crap!" I yell." Here let me help." Jacque says." What's your combo?" She asks." 4-6-46." I say." Okie Dokie." Then she opens my locker I get my hair out." Thanks." I say." Ahaha!" Jacque screams." What?" I ask. She points to a tall man, with beautiful brown eyes, and brown hair, and a very attractive face." That's the new theatre teacher." She whispers. Our old teacher transferred to another school. I'm so glad he did. I mean not that I'm crushing on him, but he's very hot. He looks at me, I turn away." Let's go." I say. We have Theatre 3rd hour. Our first hour is Math. Ew. I see Shailene, Miles, and Ansel. Our other friends." Hey beautiful." Miles says to Jacque. Miles and Jacque have been dating for like 4 months. We all sit together." Hey Kenz." Shai says." Hi Shai." I say she rolls up my sleeve." Are these recent?" She asks referring to my scars on my arm. I do self harm. But not a lot anymore." Nope." I say. She smiles." Good." She says and sits by me." Deez nuts!" Ansel yells from behind me, I scream." Ansel you jerk! You scared me!" I say laughing." That's the point." He smirks. Then the teacher walks in he quickly sits down. I don't pay attention to the lesson. I just think about the new theatre teacher. His face. His eyes. His killer jawbone.

Before I know it its Theatre class. I walk in with Jacque and Miles. Cause we have this class together. The sign on the desk says Mr. James. I sit in the back. Jacque sits by me and Miles by her. I see Chloe and Camy walk in. I hate that I have this class with them." Welcome class, I'm Mr. James. Since I'm new I'll let today be a free day and if you want to you can ask me questions." He has a sexy British accent . Chloe raises her hand. He points to her." Hi I'm Chloe, and I was wondering is there a Mrs. James?" She asks. Slut.he chuckles." No and I don't have a girlfriend either." He says. I can't believe that. I put my earphones in and listen to Enchanted by Taylor Swift. I love her so much. Jacque raises her hand. He nods at her." I'm Jacque, this is Kenzie." She shakes me." And I was wondering what your full name is." She says, I feel kinda embarrassed." Hi Jacque hi Kenzie, my full name is Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis, but I go by Theo James cause it's shorter." He says. I love when he talks. Stop Mackenzie he's your teacher. I look at him, he smiles at me, my heart flutters. I smile back. Then I look away and hum quietly to myself. Some other kids raise their hands. His favorite color is Lime green, his favorite movie is Men in black, his favorite book is The invention of Hugo Cabret, his favorite food is anything he doesn't have to cook. Basic stuff. Class ends and as I try to leave Camy trips me and I fall on the floor. Mr. James helps me up." Thanks." I say." No problem." He says. I leave. Omfg when he touched me I melted. No. Kenzie stop. Next I have Office Aide. So I can just chill in the office. I go there and sit by Vicki, she's our front desk lady. She's pretty cool." Hey Kenz." She says." Hey Vicki." I say. The phone rings and she answers it." Kenzie, can you run this up to Mr. James?" She asks handing me a few papers." Sure." I reply then I go to Mr. James's class. It's his prep hour. I walk in." Hi Kenzie, what brings you here?" He asks." I have some papers for you." I say handing him the papers." Thanks." He says." Oh and if those girls bother you, come tell me." He says." They always bother me." I say sighing." I'm sorry to hear that, you're a very beautiful girl Kenzie." He says I blush, my heart pounds against my chest." Thank you Mr. James." I says." Call me Theo." He says." Thank you Theo." I say smiling.
