A thud could be heard booming through the whole living room where the two were casually 'hanging'. Silence engulfed them like a massive wave landing ashore, and the birds seen above the horizon couldn't be heard chirping. It was that quiet.
Hoseok looked at the bony, feminine arm sticking to the wall next to him, and proceeded to glare at her. She, however, did not care and sent him a seductive smirk, caressing his cheek with two of her fingers.
Only the silence broke when the she-beast spoke, "Hey," she traced a circular shape on his cheek with her finger, "We can run away together. How would you feel about that?"
The push from Hoseok was enough for her to fall backwards and land on her bottom, but there was no sign of pain or hurt visible on face, just pure lust.
"Are you crazy?"
"Crazy in love with you? Yes."
Hoseok grimaced at her, unable to deal with her pointless shit, "I don't love you," he glared at her, "I'm over you," he threw her a look full of disgust, "And you're nothing to me."
She chuckled and went back on her feet and approached him in a slow manner, grabbing his shirt's collar. Hoseok could smell the whiff of smoke and alcohol from her, but he knew the girl was sober. She then attached herself to him as if there's no tomorrow.
"Just fucking come back to me, Oppa," she giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaving a few marks on his skin.
"Get off me. I'm taken, you bitch."
"Nope. You're mine."
As if Jesus didn't want Hoseok to live a happy life anymore, the door to the living room cracked open, and a woman could be seen in Hoseok's sight. No fucking way.
The said woman, namely Kim Soojin, saw the sight and dropped her groceries, leaving some apples to roll away.
"I swear, this is not what you think-"
His sentence got cut off once he felt another pair of lips on his, infuriating as he knew who it belonged to.
Hoseok could hear a door slamming shut and he caught the sound of footsteps fading away. With that, he knew he was screwed.
Soojin didn't come back after the occurrence. She was absent for hours, unable to take in the incident. Is Hoseok still seeing her?
For the night, she was staying at her brother's house, Kim Seokjin's residence. Seokjin was a friend – acquaintance, actually - of Hoseok's. They met at a café, where the older worked.
Alongside, they've met a few of Seokjin's other friends. Soojin couldn't really remember them, but she most recalled a petite girl by the name of Ahn Yemi, and a grouchy looking lad with the name of Min Yoongi.
Soojin stared at the pink vintage calendar that was hanging from a nail fixed into the wall. If it's pink, it's Kim Seokjin. It was her sixth month with Hoseok, and she was supposed to be at their apartment making brownies, and maybe a bit of chaos, too. Unfortunately, their night was ruined.
The click of the door opening made her flinch, but she calmed down when she saw her own brother.
"What are you doing here?" his voice didn't sound rude, it was more of a concerned tone. His expression showed worry, and Soojin thought she had the kindest brother in the world.
She let out a soft sigh, "I'm confused," she fiddled with her fingers, "I saw.. Nevermind," she stared at him, waiting for his response.
Seokjin, on the other hand, noticed his sister's discomfort, "Tell me when you're ready," he walked off into the kitchen and dropped the groceries he bought on the way back.
Soojin only had one thought in her mind.
After weeks and countless missed calls and unread messages, Hoseok was on the verge of breaking. He couldn't stop thinking of the bad occurrences that might happen, or already happened.
Where is she?
He couldn't reach her phone, even Seokjin's. He paced around their living room as uneasiness took over him. He stared at the dried blood that was visible on the carpet. I've got to get rid of this.
No one questions why there was a white with a dash of brownish red rug outside their apartment.
The blood came from his ex, the one who tried to take him back and make him hers and only hers.
"That bitch better not come back," she laughed with a low voice, "you're mine."
Hoseok stared at her, unable to hold in his anger, "who do you think you are? I'm only Soojin's, and you fucking ruined that for me!"
She continued to chuckle, before strutting off to kitchen, only to come back with a knife, "Oppa, do you know what this is?"
"Put that down."
"This is the only thing that will determine your relationship," she showed him a conceited smirk, "it's either you're mine, or you won't be able to see anyone else."
"I'd rather die than admit I'm yours."
She half-glared at him, "your wish is my command. If I can't have you, then no one can," she approached him quickly, aiming the knife straight to Hoseok's torso with full determination evident in her eyes.
Hoseok, however, was quicker. With one swift move, he managed to dodge her attack and twisted her arm, making the knife point to her body instead.
Then, there was a scream.
Hoseok couldn't get the image out of his head. He murdered someone. Fucking hell.
He decided to take a walk outside, trying to enjoy the autumn breeze. Conversely, he failed to do so and started to worry about his girlfriend.
Listening to his feet, he stopped by his favourite café, where Seokjin worked. Bells jingled when he entered, the warmth of the said place suddenly surrounding him.
"Hoseok hyung!" a high-pitched shriek deafened his ears, which also lead to the other customers gazing at him. Who was it, you ask? Jeon Jungkook.
"Ah, calm down, kid," Hoseok glanced at him with a scrunched nose, waved at the younger's partner - Ahn Yemi - and walked towards the counter where Jungkook was, "did you have too much hot chocolate?"
Jungkook only smiled, "maybe."
Hoseok couldn't help but to smile back, but it faded when he realised something, "Jungkook-ah, where's Seokjin hyung?"
"Oh, he's at his hometown for a funeral."
Hoseok was confused, "funeral? Who died?"
Jungkook stared at him worriedly, "you don't know, hyung?"
Hoseok noticed the sad tone in his voice; it was far different from the ear-splitting shriek. He furrowed his brows and looked straight in Jungkook's eyes. Something's off. "Tell me, Jungkook."
"It's Soojin noona's funeral. She felt unneeded, so," Jungkook took a big gulp and avoided Hoseok's eyes before continuing, "she decided to suicide."
Hoseok felt his happiness had been taken away from him.
"I'm sorry, hyung, I tried to stop her."
But she's my one and only.
