Substitute Teachers

Subs ruin everything. They don't know how to run the class and usually end up wasting time and messing everything up. That is, depending on who you get. Sometimes you get funny substitutes that make the class fun for once. Sadly, they are usually terrible.
One time for my American Literature class we had a substitute who had to run our class and make us get started on identifying things in The Raven (things like rhyme scheme, alliteration, etc.) All that he had to do was show us a PowerPoint presentation and follow the directions left by our teacher. That's it. And guess what happened. Go on. Use your imagination.

He messed it all up.

I don't know how he missed the part in his teaching directions that the parts that we highlighted had to be certain colors. We even asked him.
"Use whatever colors you want." Was our answer. So we followed his instructions. When we turned in our assignments the next day there was a very angry teacher and some very confused and innocent students. Our teacher blamed us and we all had to redo it. Not the greatest day of my life, but luckily not the worst either.
