I never thought that I would ever be in this mess. One minute I'm going down the road and the next, CRASH!! Some guy sped a red light trying to escape the police. Even though I did wear my seat belt, I went crashing through the windshield, hitting my head on the rough road below me. Even though I could see the masses of blood spilling out of me, I felt numb.
It was a rather, unpleasant experience. I saw police cars everywhere and the man who hit me. The guy, he started running. It wasn't much longer until I fell unconscious, no longer aware of my surroundings. I woke up to the sound of something beeping. I was hooked up on an IV and many other things. I honestly don't remember much.
My head was throbbing and I felt a fever coming on. I groaned and flipped over to my side. Looking down, I see a piece of glass sticking deep into my skin. I slowly pulled it out. "Nnnnghh... Ow..," I mumbled, pulling out the large, thick glass out of my hip. Maybe it was still there for a reason.
"Hello? Nurse?" I weakly called, looking at the blood streaming, once again, from my hip. Yet another mistake I've made and I'm letting someone else clean this up. It reminds me a lot about high school when I made the biggest mistake yet. It all starts in middle school.
I met this girl in the middle of 6th or 7th grade. I don't clearly remember. Her name is Beth. I fell in love with her. Let's skip to high school, when we were closer than ever. I got in a huge fight and hurt her. In the end we stopped talking, I had to move away, and I broke her heart. What happened was...
"Oh my goodness! What happened?" the nurse interrupted my thoughts. "I-uh accidentally pulled out I think glass... I think," I lied. I was pretty good at lying, usually. You know what they say, the most strict parents raise the best liars. Even though my parents aren't that strict.
The nurse somewhat believed me, surprisingly, and quickly got to work. Even though she was softly touching my skin, it felt like she was tossing me about. I've never been in so much pain, well, physically. "Be more carful please," the nurse warned walking out, letting the door close behind her.
After she left. I had to think about where I was going to stay. I don't really have any friends, mostly because I usually keep to myself and never try to socialize. I'm not that close to my family either. Looking over, I see my phone. "Let's see," I mutter whilst looking through my contacts.
"No, no, no," I started. "What? How do I have.... Beth's number?" After the whole high school incident, my mom took away my phone and got me a new one, with no contacts whatsoever and I even remember deleting the number WAY before. "Hmm.. I wonder." I tapped on the name and waited, seeing if it was the same Beth I'm thinking of and if it was, if she was still mad at me.
