My tension rose, but in a different sense. This wasn't a test anymore...it's a game.
And that's exactly how it'll work for me.
I changed my posture...I planted the tip of my feet to the ground, my knees hung low and so did my torso, I placed one hand on the ground; I took a pose resembling like a runner preparing for a sprint.
If I can't rely on the advantages of tactics then...all I've got left is a frontal assault....heh...and that works just fine for me....
I smirked and let a part of body peek out. I didn't give a seconds' thought and simply kicked against the ground dashing as I planned to circle around them.
The part of the ground where I placed my feet threw up dirt and leaves.
My body soared ahead as if riding the wind.
I moved to avoid getting caught in the line of sight of both the gunners.
The double-gunner noticed me and followed me with the muzzle of his gun trying to get a good idea of my next position before firing.
With my speed and the suit's boost it would take even an expert to adjust to the change in pace.
But I already reached the point where the sight of the mid-position vanguard was blocked by the double-gunner.
I made a sharp turn throwing up more leaves from my abrupt halt and slid a little.
And at that moment the opponent's gun locked onto me, his finger pulled the trigger devoid of hesitation.
But-
It was within my prediction that he would aim for this moment.
I had to dodge it. The entire basis of my plan rode on this particular move.
I put every ounce of strength into making a side-leap and twisted my body mid-air.
"........!!!!"
The fired bullet shot past me to the side... I narrowly dodged it!
And I once again kicked the ground sprinting towards them aiming for top speed.
Even if he is an expert in handling simultaneous firing with that crazy knockback it was near impossible to adjust his aim and shoot with the other gun in mere seconds.
And...perfectly aware of this his teammate leaped out from his back with his gun on the ready.
-....but they aren't dealing with a thick-skulled idiot either.
My gun too was more than just prepared.
I held the gun in my left and supported the back end with my right placed on it.
The trigger already pulled half way.
Even if you were equal- no even if you're speed exceeded mine...
You'd still lose if I can read your actions faster than you can execute them...
The moment his body moved out from his back....
"............!!!!!!"
The muzzle of my gun spewed sparks and a light blue flash flew out the barrel with a sharp sound...
The shot clearly hit the head of the guy and his body started falling.
I had already prepared for his move...the areas he would appear were either left or right and it took me less than a moment to completely pull the trigger once I caught sight of his body.
The dual-wielder couldn't help but turn to look at his falling comrade... it was a natural reaction it's not like he spent years on some battlefield. But ...excuses won't help in winning.
My next move was already executed....
The knockback from firing pushed my arm back,...but utilizing every motion, every twist and turn gunning all for efficiency being as fast as I could was what I planned for...
The grabbed the gun in my right with a snap action and...swung my arm....
With as much force as I could muster I threw the gun.
Spinning in fast full circles the gun flew through the air... and my target...
Coming back to his senses the dual-wielder turned back to look at me with a jerk....only to add to the force of the thrown gun which smashed his nose and knocking him back.
It didn't rob him of his consciousness.... but it most definitely gave me more time.
Before he could raise his torso completely I was already before him.
His breathing stopped.
His reactions froze...and the outcome was decided.
I was in the best possible posture for a power packed punch and add to that the speed and momentum from the sprint.
My perfect conditions were met...
-My right drilled his solar plexus, his body bent.
And he gasped for breath.
I followed the punch with an elbow to his temple, finally knocking him out of consciousness.
My sights turned to the last guy. He still held his shields but his posture was disturbed.
A mistake.....
".............!!!!!!"
A bullet shot at the edge of his upper shield. The impact completely blew away his original posture and in his crushed stance.
"...........!!!!!"
Another shot rang loud....this time was from me.
The shot got his head taking his consciousness as it dispersed into the air.

Soon after... the opponent's defense point was conquered without much trouble compared to the vanguard group since there were only two members. Despite being tougher with our numbers evened out it we managed to pull it off.
I greatly let out a sigh of relief and release the tension gripping my body.
Chester walks up to me, his face a rare mix of hesitation and confusion.
"T-that was quite unexpected huh...."
"....yeah"
"Still you were more amazing...I mean that reaction speed and ski-"
"I'd have lost already lost of not for you", my voice interjected before he could complete...
It wasn't any form or modesty or consideration, it really was an honest opinion...It was frankly exhausting to continue on by myself like this...
"........you're right. None of us could have done this ourselves"
He cast a dim meaningful smile, one that was more mature than his usual gestures.
If only he'd stay as docile like this all the time....
But....
"Haha~,we really got to brag about this to the others. It was so damn tensed! Like seriously~"
My most eager wish didn't even live a second more....
