What Can Happen in a Second

\There are a lot of things that can happen in a second. This world is made of moments and seconds if you blink you might miss something amazing. Some of the most underappreciated things in this lifetime happen in seconds. Such as sunrises, the first breath of life, someone's last word, love, the start of a friendship or even your dream come true.

Sunrises and sunsets only happen once a day and can be a magical moment if you pause life to admire the beauty this world can offer. A sunrise could mean the start of the best day of your life or the start of your second chance to make today a better day than yesterday. Sunsets are always different like snowflakes in winter no two are alike. I like to try whenever I can to watch the sun setting every day, it brings me peace knowing that everything from today is being put to rest and the day is finally done. With the way technology runs our lives we sometimes forget about the simple things so maybe just once put down your phone (unless you're taking pictures) and admire the sweet sight... just don't ALWAYS ruin it with a camera let your memory take the pictures occasionally.

Life and death are so precious. Our lives are made up of only so many minutes seconds and days so live your life to the fullest and do everything you dream of. It's a glorious second to witness when a tiny new life begins. In a second it goes from inside the shelter of its mother to the bright lights of this world. The fast pace of labour is ended when that first second of life begins with a cry and breath of oxygen. Death is also a precious moment; you're surrounded by your family one last time and you are free from stress. You can just use those moments to reflect on everything that made your life great. That last word and final breath means you're finally free from this hectic world to be at peace forever.

Love and friendships are another precious work of the seconds of life. Have you ever had that moment when you look into someone's eyes for the first time, and you suddenly feel like everything is aligned and you know they're the one? That moment only happens once; it might be falsely felt but you know when it's the forever glance. Do you remember the first time you looked at your best friend? You may have been in a classroom with a ton of new faces but the moment you locked eyes with them you started to imagine all the good times you guys were going to have together and in a second you knew "Yep that's my new best friend" When's the last time your forever love (if you're still together) or your best friend got thanked for that second? Maybe they never heard your side of the story but have told them half a million times, don't be afraid there are only so many seconds in this life don't waste any not telling someone how you feel, go ahead and tell them the story and thank them for being in your life.

We can be given something so special in a second, but we can also lose something or someone in a second. Never take advantage of any second! Live each one like it's your last because sometimes you never know when you'll run out. So be weird, be crazy and live the life you only dare to. Do whatever makes you happy.
