"As of the year 2035, America will implement the Mate Program. This is created for the benefit of the people and the children of our country.
You will have your significant other chosen for you on the 15th of February each year at the age of 17. If you were to receive two mates you will have 60 days to choose or else you will become mate less.
If you are deemed mate less you will never be able to marry again and will be allowed no job or housing.
Your unwanted mate will then be able to choose from the small group of other unwanted mates.
If you refuse to comply you will be put into jail for a time of 20 years.
Remember, this program is built to benefit everyone and is made for your well being.
