Hi my name is Alysse, I am 14 and am a Freshman at Southern Gate High School. It's October and I am a Techy kid(Im backstage for the fall show MACBETH).Its the day before the show and Im walking after school to the pizza place across the street FASTWAY with my friends.
My Pov
"GEEZ this has been a long week."
I said to my friend Hannah. Shes in band so we see each other alot. All the arts and band stuff is on the same half of the building.
"Omg I know. We have like 3 parades this week. Along with 2 competitions"
We got to FastWay and saw every other band/theater/dance/football kid in there waiting either at KK mart for food of FASTWAY getting pizza. We waited in line and I ordered my food.
"Chicken Fingers and Fries please."
I say handing the lady my money.
"Okay that'll be ready in about 10 minutes."
I then walked out and started going towards Dollar General across the way. I looked back and Hannah was talking to another group of band kids she saw. I told her my number incase I was late coming back.
Thats when my phone started ringing. It was my brother KJ.
"Hey kid I aint got alot of time but I'm Im in the juvenile justice center by Hillsboro."
I stopped. This is KJ. The only sibling i have thats not either in jail or on probation. I look up to him, he never skips school, he has perfect grades, His dad gets him whatever he wants. He couldnt have messed up.
"WHAT. WHY. WHAT DID YOU DO?!?"
"No time to explain Ill tell you when you get here. Dont tell Ma!!"
I wasnt going tell her anyway. My Mom hates all of my dads kids. Im a only child on my moms side. But in all Its eight of us. Every one except me an KJ are on probation or locked up. Im the youngest, KJs 16. KJ is the nice kid in the family. Well he WAS untill now.
What am i gonna do.I Know. Ill call a cab right after school. Tech ends early today anyway, but ma dont know that. Ill tell her that they held us late then i caught the bus to the center. Ill get the taxi to drop me off about 30 minutes before 8.
I ran back to FastWay and told Hannah she could have my food. Then i ran back to school and called a taxi. I passed by my BF Dre and he tried to talk to me but I ignored him. Hope he dosent take that the wrong way.
