 Fairy Tail: Loke 

"I give up," You grumbled, dropping your head on the wooden bar counter. Mirajane chuckled while she patted your back. "What's wrong (y/n)? You can't be sad on Christmas Eve!"

"What's eating at you, kiddo?" Cana asked, her hand never too far from a beer.

"I knew liking him was the stupidest thing to do," You continued to moan. "I should have known....."

"Oh! You like someone (y/n)-chan?" Lucy bubbled excitedly. "Who is it?"

"Is this about that good for nothing, Loke?" Erza said on the other side of Lucy. "(y/n), he is not worth your tears."

"I know but.... I just can't help it.....I like him...." You buried your head in your arms.

"Have you told him?" Mira questioned.

"I can't, he doesn't like me."

"And how do you know?" Cana countered.

"Because," You deflated. "He flirts with every girl just like he does with me. I'm nothing but another fish in the sea."

Erza watched as you sadly drew invisible circles on counter. This hadn't been the first time she had seen you fighting with your emotions for the glasses-wearing playboy. It hurt her to see you like this, but you wouldn't listen to her words. You had fallen to victim to the Loke love spell.

"(y/n)," Erza began. "You need to let him go, this feeling will only get worse if you don't."

"Oh I know!" Lucy clapped her hands with a bright smile. "Why don't we try to set you up with a guy tonight at the Christmas Party? The whole town's invited; there's bound to be someone out there that'll catch your eye."

You remained silent for a moment. Then, to everyone suprise, you suddenly slammed your fist on the table. "You're right! I don't need him! I can't spend my days wallowing over some guy who doesn't even want me!" You shouted enthusiastically. "I need to leave the past in the past and look toward the future!"

Cana raised an eyebrow at you. "You're awfully chipper about this. Just a few seconds ago you were lump of frustration."

"Forcing myself to be confident is the only way I'm going to do this," You deadpanned. A sigh then escaped your lips. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of this heartbreak."

"The party should start at around 6 so make sure to look your best by then," Mira informed. "Lucy will be your wing woman for tonight."

"Now, get going!" Erza urged with smile.

"Alright," You said, sparked with new hope for your sorry state.

After an hour or so of prep, you came back to the guild wearing opaque brown leggings under a short, dark blue sleeved dress that exposed your shoulders. You had curled your hair and put on just enough make up to radiate an innocent glow. However, even though you were feeling excited for tonight, you were nervous to see Loke. You knew he wasn't one to miss such a great opportunity to flirt with girls and couldn't stand the thought. Hopefully, you would be distracted the whole time to not notice him.

Lucy had messaged you saying to meet her by the bar which was where you were headed as soon as you stepped into the guild.

In the midst of your stride, you found that the guild had been beautifully decorated since the last time you saw it. The room lit up in a soft bright glow that illuminated the cheeriness in the atmosphere. There was towering Christmas tree in the corner of the hall that stood guard above the presents that lay beneath it. The number of people had also increased, most of which you had no clue who they were.
