I had lived in New York ever since I was a little girl I knew this place by heart, but lately it's been weird. I live in an apartment on the top floor, and sometimes I'll hear noises on the roof as if people were on it. But as soon I go to look no one is there! This kept going for some time and it was really starting to bother me. And so one night I talked to my parents about sleeping on the roof. Genius I know, but my mother was worried a weird freak would pick me up and take me away. I told her I would bring a knife and my phone she agreed to these terms.
Little did I know mother was right I would get taken away by a weird freak. Or should I say turtles.
I woke up in a dark terrible smelling what seemed to be underground considering there were no windows what so ever. I heard what seemed like teenage boys whispering somewhere near me. I turned around and screamed alarmed at the sight of four giant turtle man thingies in front of me. They looked at me eyes widening and trying to make me quiet by saying "shh " but it only alarmed me more. One of the turtles with the blue mask on pushed all of the others back " Guys give her some space! " I watched my eyes tearing up. The turtle cleared his throat and smiled " Hi miss .. I'm sorry if we alarmed you but we saw you on the rooftop and we were worried." He had a slight tint to his cheeks hardly noticeable. I bite the inside of my cheek eyes showing fear. " A-are you the ones always jumping on the roof ..? " I questioned. He nodded " Yes .." I look at him nodding my head slowly. "Well, thank you for being worried for my safety." This seemed to give him a confidence boost as he stood tall clearing his throat. "It what were meant to do, protect our home and keep civilians safe." I giggled at his slight ramble as I pull my hand out for him to shake. He does so and shakes my hand. " Well my name is ..."
